@ thee1nonly

I can CONFIRM that there is NO performance LAG when upgrading from a 32 MB card to a 2 GB one, (n its fully loaded too). Ask any SE P910i owner who uses the 2gb card, they will confirm it to u 2.

It is SE's market policy to limit the P910 to FAT16 filesystem, so that P-series lovers will switch to the K750 in the (agonising) wait for the next SE smartphone. And SE perfectly knows that the P-series-lovers will ditch EVEN a ONE-second-old K750 in favour of the new smart-phone, whenever it is released. That is why they (i think) timed the release of their phones in the sequence we r seeing.

NO DOUBT in my mind that SE specializes in ripping off its "faithfulls". Their irrational price tags, non-sense limitations and market policies proves me right. And the rubbish they r sprouting abt the 1 GB limit on the P910 is just embarrasing.

DONT fall for it, just dont..

If I was not a complete addict of touch screens, styluses and installing software and games, I would go for the W800!

Now seriously, there is not a single *regular* phone in the market (I know off) that can replace a SmartPhone.
We will keep buying P910's, if that's what it takes!
They are becoming cheaper and cheaper, with great applications and games being launched every day. (have you seen Route 66?)
This phone rocks!! and if doesn't stop selling them, they will continue rocking Nokias and Windows alike for a while.

They are F-ing expensive when you compare them to other types of stick. Although I don't think there is another mobile stick which has 2 gig.

A 512 in Transflash or RS MMC is like half the price of MSDuo.

But thats The Sony part of SE showing through.

Shame there's no way to partition an MS 'drive' - so that you could still use a 4GB stick (when they exist), but just have two 2GB partitions on it.

Oh well.

You say it as if you have confirmed it. As far as Im aware this was never the case, its just that 1GB was the biggest out when the P910 was released. P910 supports "Duo Pro", whatever the size. The same as P900 Suports "MS Duo" whatever the size.

ok I just wanted to confirm this for all the n00bs like me out there.

I just bout a 2gb pro duo off ebay for 30 odd quid. I asked SE whether this will work in a p910i and I got the reply, the maximum size is 1GB however you can get it working but you MUST NOT USE THE SE DOCK to upload files to the card.

1st step: You should place the pro duo into the adapter then place this into a separate card reader and make sure it is recognised by windows.

2. Remove the card and place it into a switched on and fully functional p910i and wait 10 seconds.

3. Remove the card from the p910i and place back into the card reader. You should now see some folders that the p910i has made, media video audio etc.

4. Using the card reader and windows explorer transfer the files directly into the specific folder which suites the file type you are moving eg .mp3 into audio > unfiled etc.

5. When you have transfered everything you wanted place the memory card back into the phone and everything should work!

< thats me as a happy bunny!

1gb pro duo's can suck my *^!$$!!!!!
