It appears on a global basis the Treo 6xx does outsell the P9xx range so using a feature similar to the Treo is not a bad idea (a bit like JasJar copying the Nokia 9500) |

i dont mind SE copy good things from other manufactures
hehhehhehe
So guys ^_6 should be cheer up cause SE will improve and migrate other's technology to itself

It seems to me that if SE is discontinuing the p910 all over the place then they have an imminent release of its replacement - ie they've already switched production and are no longer making p910 - can't think of any reason a company would leave a gaping hole in their product line for over 4 months - especially over christmas!
Methinks that SE are being a little clever and have as other people have surmised, more than one smartphone. - aka the p910 replacement (p950) and also an additional as yet unknown smartphone which I believe is really hermione - not the p950. Obviously the Hermione would have everything the p950 has but more. It also seems that with blackberry software and k/board on the phone that SE are chasing that particular market as they perceive it to be larger and more profitable - which is probably correct - look at RIM on the strength of one product.
Just my thoughts in the pot !

The flip open keyboard actually looks nice! The article confirms it's UIQ3.0 also (sorry Gardar, your source wasn't so reliable after all). |

They have the best pictures yet that anyone's seen, and appear to have first hand experience of the device - I don't see any reason to doubt them.
The idea that this was ever going to be anything but a UIQ device was always far fetched. |

But he was talking about the (slightly blurrier) pictures of what is obviously the exact same phone - whatever it's called - claiming that was Windows mobile. It's not, simple as that.

i dont know it might just be me but i dont really think hermione is a replacement of the p910,it looks like a completely different range of product from the current p-range and i would think the p910 successor it looks kind of an experimental product which will be backed up by the proper p910 replacement |

My thoughts - but you must bear in mind that SE have definitely discontinued the P910 which leaves them needing a replacement. Methinks ,as posted before, that they are after the Blackberry market with the p950, with another possible launch aka "Hermione" to follow. Just seems that when ever SE stop production something is imminent. I think we may see a fairly quick p950 launch, with Hermione next year for the "ubergeeks" .
Just a comment, I personally think the flip is a step in the wrong direction - I always found the thinner keys of the P900 annoying - the P910 keypad is much more "finger friendly"..... but who knows - maybe the pics are a leak of a pre-production test and the final version looks different ? |

Do you think that this device would be even better with a windows pocket pc OS ? |
