Nokia - Connecting People
Well it isn't very connective to take some of those people's rights and give the privelege to other people

But it is annoying and a risk for Nokia sales to drop. Why limit themselves?? By the time 3 months have passed customers are already moving on to other phones forgetting about the EOS cos they cannot get it.

Because maybe Nokia gets honey money from ATT...
Or they put a higher price because it's exclusive.
And it is illusive in the end.
Could be wrong tho.

It's different in the US, the carriers are more powerful there, when you want to be succesful there, you'll have to work with them.
Plus, how many of you complaining now, are planning to buy it first day it comes out, at a retail price of 500 or more? I guess most of you will wait a few months, till the price drops (like I always do ), so where is the problem?

Live and let live, how hard can it be ?

Spot on.. and .. way too powerful if you ask me. At this point Nokia doesn't even have any bargaining power, so they have to play by the rules of every single one of them, which is why we have

920 - AT&T
925 - T-Mobile USA
928 - Verizon

3 different phones, for 3 different carriers.. instead of one phone for all of them, maybe with a different name. Only Apple has to luxury to not do that. The carriers can't even tell them to put their logo on it.. I say bravo Apple.

So the EOS will be at AT&T for sure..and they trickle "down" everyone else.

Also, it might be a way for Nokia to get away with low production volume, which seems to be a problem for them these days.

I heard that the last 808 rolled off the production line in December of last year... so my guess is that they've been modifying it for the EOS production ever since.

Sooo the new awesome and powerful phone from Nokia won't be available? Ahahaha way to improve the big fall they are experiencing How stupid are they, I can't believe it. Why are they trying to force themselves into American market? Don't they know that Apple rules there? Apple will release iPhone 5S with 13 MP camera saying it's the best mobile camera ever, and Americans will buy this shit, if the iPhone 5S camera is the best ever, why would they go for Nokia EOS?

Seeing how they do things now, I really wish Nokia goes to the bottom, maybe when they are actually there they will see what they did wrong.

Mate because of Nokia WP is now the fastest growing OS and is now in 3rd place. In the US Expansys top ten chart Nokia has 4 out of ten phones there. They are starting to sell well there as well as in Europe.

Yyyy yeah right. It might be on 3rd place, but its still far far behind first and second. It's like a race car with Porsche, Lamborghini, Smart and a few guys on bicycles. Smart might come in 3rd, but it doesn't mean it's fast and close to Porsche and Lamborghini

Just look at this %:

Same exact mechanics as the 808.. but I don't see an ND filter,.. there must be something in there to make up for that.

I'm going to be so disappointed if AT&T does get this phone... I for one like when then DON'T support flagship devices seeing as I still have one of the old plans with unlimited text/data for non-smartphones. real bummer....

Any way, I wonder if the EOS is going to bring back the N86's variable aperture? f/1.8-2.8 would be PERFECT and would negate the need for ND filter (although they could still toss it in if they like!!) [addsig]

I've been wondering the same thing.. they must have a way of compensating for the missing ND filter, which is worth 3 stops I believe, so.. we will see. I read somewhere that there might be some sort of a "dual" aperture.. I am really curious about the whole thing to be honest I wasn't expecting a full Phase 1 port over to WP until q1/2014

As far as AT&T... they are getting it for sure! $200/2 year is my guess

I wonder if it will have variable aperture.
It would be a major step-up for phone cameras.
Imagine manual adjustment of aperture!
