How then does my phone work fine while many people have problems with theirs?
and another thing, i read in the owner's thread that someone was using a micro sd with their k850...is it possible or was it a mistake on the part of the owner? [addsig]

different experience can come from different usage, different software installed, different branding etc etc

K850 is compatible with both M2 and micro SD

It's not that annoying but still...it feels like the hissing sound in W800/W810 all over again. But i hope a new firmware will fix this.

Why do this not suprise me?

SE obviously have no intentions of addressing the hissing issue. And they definitely know about it. I've told them as have many others. There has been online petitions and how many threads on Esato alone? My wife's K800i has the problem, as does my K810i. You would have hoped that SE might have finally given more priority to audio quality with the later models like the K850i. I will be very surprised if the W910i is any better.

Hopeless.

I´m sorry but i might have to change my view on that issue a bit. From what i can hear it seem to be a hissing sound only when playing mp3:s that are a bit poorly ripped. I didn't hear any hissing in or between songs ripped from my original albums, but i will defenatley have to listen some more before giving a final verdict.

I had my K850 replaced today for the 5th time. CPW must thing I'm mad!

It's week 43 build and has software version RC1A037.

The camera is noticeably better; there's no lag anymore when using the viewfinder and the flash issue is definitely fixed.

It feels solid, dare I say even more so than the last. I have a good feeling about this one.

Also just added Web'n'Walk to my T-Mobile plan, so it's a good day!

bought mine yesterday ... and have the old version. the quick impression is that the camera is much worse than my k800i

my battery now charges til 100%...but the batt indicator will still show that it is charging. a minute later, the charging icon changes to full charge and when i checked the status, it's at 99%...curious, i didn't remove the charger...a few minutes later, it dropped to 98% even though the charger is still connected to the phone. maybe the charger automatically cuts off the charging when it hits 100% and the battery starts to wear itself down again?

Unfortunately it will be until the next firmware is released. Then the K850's camera should start to shine.

@kjao
Mine always charges to 100%, but like you say, it then starts to drop. I'd say it's a firmware bug as this doesn't happen on other SEs. [addsig]

Hi all
Had my K850i fo a month and a half. Have had no real major problems, apart from the dreaded operation failed message when trying to access my messages. A master reset sorted that out thankfully. No though, well as of last night, I noticed that the shutter doesn't open on the phone when I go in to camera mode... Get a high pitched whine instead. Anyway, trying to resolve it now with O2 but looks like a fault and a replacement! Which I don't mind too much as I dropped the phone 2 weeks after I got it and nicked two corners on the front of the phone, which bugs me every time I pick it up!

Just hope they replace it with a new one!

You're better off with a replacement, especially from O2 as you're guaranteed to get a very recent build and latest firmware, so you shouldn't have any further problems. [addsig]

Do O2 actually hand out newer builds as replacements? I was informed that they hand out the same builds but with 037, which is why I was debating whether or not to send mine back as I would still be vulnerable to other bugs..

I can't say for certain as I'm not on O2, but from what I've heard they're new builds. [addsig]
