Dude are you drunk ?
LG G2 competitor in 1020 ?
LG G2 no has absolutely nothing to do with 1020 !
1020 has an image sensor with twice the sensor area of the G2, has better image stabilization system, has 4 times more microns per pixel integrated, has xenon flash, this comparison is out of place !
Besides... Is the topic of 1020 Pureview, so this should not be posted here a review of the G2 !
Want to post news about the G2 use this topic: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=206030
P.S: Currently only Sony Xperia Z1, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and Oppo N1 can be considered competitors of 1020 Pureview !

There is only one phone that the 1020 can be compared to.. we all know which one that is |

I disagree with you my friend !
The great 808 Pureview is a cameraphone "hors concours" so no there competitors and much less comparisons !
P.S: Let us return to the real world... Comparing 1020 Pureview with cameraphones "standard 2013" !

Its simple... 1020 is better than anything else but the 808
But is it ?? ive seen shots from the 1020 which at pixel level look worse than my N8. Then, ive seen some shots which look better than anything ive seen before, even from the 808.
Ive seen shots which look better than the 808 produces, but when at pixel level are poorer. Its like it takes worse pictures up close, but at full view compete and sometimes beat the 808.
I can definitely see what everyone is complaining about though. Up close, shots often look very grainy, very blurred or muddy.

@etaab,some poor shots can be down to who's behind the lens too. But details up close and in corners with blurry softness is not quite what we expect from "Purview"

Thanks for the link David.
None of the 1020's shots look impressive. Maybe with the next cameraphone Nokia will actually produce something that beats 808. Doubt it though because their algorithms for WP are awful and it'd take a lot to change them. |

@Sonysta,you miss my point and your post shows your narrow minded view on things. The LG G2 like the GS4 takes fantastic photos and yes can be compared to the 1020, just like the GS4 can take some photos better than the 1020. If you'd care to even look at the photos instead of making a daft remark of, oh it's just an LG. That LG has an excellent finely tuned camera on it. It might not compete with night shots but details are similar to daytime shots of the S4 which takes very detailed shots. In future shootout comparisons I think you'll see the LG alongside the 1020. Nokia is not the only one who can make good camera phones. And in my view the 1020 is nothing amazing as expected along with other Lumia's with very noisy images. And another thing is not that you and others on this topic have also posted comparisons with other phones?? So you are being very hypocritical my friend. Please don't make off the cuff comments like that as you are just making yourself look stupid. Pixels and whatever size you want your camera sensor to be is not everything. Samsung and LG and others have managed to make decent camera phones with nothing near to the sensor size of Nokia's but on many occasions image quality has been better. I am not pitching for a fight I am mearly stating my point. And I do wish you stop the childish giggling about other camera phones As for comparisons, that is just your point of view selected by YOU. So in only your view 3 other phones can compare to the 1020?? Don't make me laugh.

1020 is better because the pureview 41 mp technique, better details, better in low light...it's just logical...
But i agree with Bono, GS4 or G2 isn't ridiculous a all...especially when you see stuff like this...

Indeed. I have come to the conclusion that Nokia Lumia's are not quite the great amazing camera's they shout about. Often noisy with muddy details. Maybe it's down to the OS I don't know but I gone right off them.

Have you seen the samples on sites such as GSM arena ? its brilliant to see companies like Sony attempt the Pureview trick of Nokia's and pull it off so badly. The Z1's images are good, but terrible compared to the 808 and 1020.
I was particularly enraged this evening when I went to my usual sites and saw Sony's advert for the Z1, saying "the worlds best camera in a waterproof smartphone" !!!
Worlds best camera ? what over every camera in the world ever ? seriously ??
