I installed XP SP2 recently (not the Beta) and have had absolutely no problems connecting via Bluetooth. No change of settings, nothing different, it connects just as well as it did with SP1. It seems to me the bluetooth drivers in SP2 are more stable, as I dont get disconnected while in the middle of something, as it happened with SP1.

so try this - get it working, however you normally do it, so it's connected over Bt and you have the P900 icon.

Now turn off your p900, turn it back on. Now tell me how you connect the p900....

I don't know if this helps anyone, but third-party software e.g Widcomm 1.x.x.x will work if you leave the sp2 bt drivers alone until you've installed the third-party software. Then, start>run>%windir%\inf> look up the bth.inf file and change the file name to bth.bak>control panel>system>hardware>device manager> right-click bt device>properties>update driver> then manually select the location e.g C:\program files\widcomm...\btwusb.inf>ok or next.
This procedure stops the higher ranking sp2 driver from executing during the plug-n-play inst.

Voila, everything should work!

PS Got this hint from microsoft. I tried it myself, and it solved my problems beautifully...

Is connecting via bluetooth faster than using the syncstation?

What advantages are there to using bluetooth to connect? How do you connect to Personal area network using the P900.

I have com ports connected and the P900 iconshows that it is connected by bluetooth but I cannot find the connection in the PAN bluetooth section and cannot make it appear...

Cheers
