Alright everyone!

Long time no speak!

I can't believe this tread is still going, my contract is up for renewal now and I spoke to O2 last week. I'm waiting for the new K800 to come out, apparently it's due on the 28th.

The girl I spoke to said that she didn't think renewing the current price plan I'm on would be an issue but I have to wait for the phone to become available before we could strike a deal!

I'll post here once the deal is done (or not depending and the price of the unit!!)

P.S. Anyone who is on a similar price plan to me (you'll need to look back in early pages of the thread but it sounds like it's most of you) needs to be aware that after your 12 months your text bolt-on's WILL fall off and you'll just get the minutes. This was confirmed by O2 last week, the deal you get is valid for 12 months only and not for the life of the account.

Hopefully I'll be saying those famous words "Ask me the question Noel".............."Deal" !!!

Simple really. Went through to rentention explained that i was getting various calls daily offering me an N91 , said i would stay if they could offer something attractive.

So he (Will i think name was) said lets have a look. Well you spend blah blah i can offer you 10 discount already oh and there is a loyalty bonus and that makes another 9 off, so Mr... we can offer you Online 400 for 26 a month.

What phone am i going to get? We can offer you an N80 but they are not in till tomorrow. So i said Ok.

Will then said, that all agreed and that is now active.

So i asked whether he would mind me collecting one from the shop...to which the response was no, i cant change the tariff now i have done the discounts.

Shame that cos i got everything i wanted...well the Mrs wanted actually.

Now upgrading for me in July for an XDA Mini S

look into the flext deal on T-mobile.... all you gotta do is quote that deal to O2 and they will have no option than to give you a better deal

Flext 35 - £200 of usage a month... works out over 1000 anynet/time mins.......

And you geta free phone and depending if u use teh one stop phone shop - you'll get 6 months free line rental too.......

Personally i would use that as my main reason to bargining... tell them your doing over to t-mpobile coz thre deals blow O2's outta teh water

and a PAC code allows me to take my number to another company right?

be a bit embarising if i said PAC and they were like 'what is that?'

So basically it is as follows.

Phone o2.
Request PAC code.
They ask why
You tell them about this T-Mobile deal
They offer you a similar one.

If i say i want an 18 motnh contract would they nock money off a phone?

right, to clarify....

I did exactly this the otehr day with orange tho

I will tell you what i did...

I phoned orange (bare in mind i have 3 months remaining on my existing contract (or did have ) ), i asked them how much it would cost to pay off my contract... tehy asked why i wanted to do this and i said i can get flext 35 (look into that deal before phoning)... Basically orange offered me a free w810i... 500 anytime/any network mins, 700 texts, 12 months free insurance..... and 6 months half price line rental....

So i pay £15 for teh first 6 months and £30 the remaining 12..... but as you are aware i upgraded after only 9 months thsi year... so i would assume i will be allowed to upgrade before the end of teh 18months contract again....

But i have to add... if your phone bills are small you will NOT get a really good deal... they will look at your bills and see how much of a 'good' (i mean how much you spend lol) customer you are.... I used to have average bills of £70-£80 a month... and some were £150... and one was £260........ therefor i got a good deal as orange wanted to 'keep' me

But im sure that by using teh T-mobile one as a lever you cna get a good deal

Also to add... i was ready to switch to T-mobile so i wasnt just sayign it as you will be... make sure you sound convincing... if teh sh!t hits teh fan and they offer you nothing, id personally switch to teh flext deal... IMHO i think its a great deal.....

All the best, let us know how it goes

Seems like you have to spend around £50+ to get a good deal then. When i get my contract i will probably only spend around £30-£35 if i can help it.
