I don't find 48Kbps mp3s acceptable. I normally use 56Kbps mp4 (mono) for music listening in my K700i. For ringtones I use 56Kbps (mono) mp3s.
resistance is futile. |

I hate my joystick, its doesnt function smoothly.Even my T300's joystick works better.I got to take to my service provider to repair it and flash with the best firmware.

The K700 is feature packed but what really keeps me thinking 'mighty phone' is the call quality. Excellent reception, crystal clear sound. It comes as close to a landline as you could expect.
Also the screen is a real pleasure and there are a lot of nifty functions, like the list of the last 10 contacts you sent an sms to when you have to choose a recepient.
I find the calendar good enough to use as primary agenda, but only if you can sync with Outlook so you have some extra features on the PC.
The FM radio is excellent.
The looks of it, well, I might prefer the K500, but at least the phone looks different.
What I miss is RDS on the radio (750), sync of e-mail and/or more mem dedicated to e-mail. I don't know about the (750) extra memory. One wouldn't say no but if it isn't enough mem to put ALL the music on you have it will only be some toy.
I want to keep phones for 2 years so the next one will be the have-become-cheap 750 or its sucessor if it holds enough GB to conqueer the ipod. |

The cal quality. Is it as good as some nokias? My dads 2100 is crystal clear. I have to keep my ears away from the earphone sometimes!

ok, dunno if i signed it b4, but i wrote a review on k700, (in review section, duh!) and it got 4 and a half stars because of bad video and smudgy screen. I think its great for youth , like every1 said, and im youth so it works out well!

Had my K700 since september, after having MANY Nokias, and compared to nokia, k700 is the best, its never crashed! (touchwood) and the only thing wrong with it software wise was the original software had the battery problems.
[I tried a 7610 as a replacement for my k700, it was SO BAD! Believe me, do not get the 7610!]
The only thing i can moan about is the k700s control stick isnt working as well as it used to, ive cleaned it out, it was ok again, but its started again, very frustrating.

Yeah. The joystick problem is somewhat common. But cleaning it usually solves it temporarily.

Rick, why don't you upgrade it online? Buy a sync station.
