Think it´s just the T68´s way of showing it´s contempt for Nokia?

I love those LED lights. I hope that SE will bring back them for all new models.

I loved those lights also, especially because you could see from a distance if there was anything to note on the phone, like missed call or message arrived.
I had to part with the green 'don't worry' light when i switched over to a t600. Then I had the phone always placed in such a way that I could see the display. Now I have a K700 which I usually set in power save mode so nothing to see. I was really worried about that. It looks ... dead.
Then I used a T28 for two days because of repair of the K700 and there was the led again. I didn't like it anymore, because it attracts attention the whole time. It creates tension.
The thing is, nowadays, situations in which you are out of reception are so rare and limited in time that it has lost its function somehow. Of course there's reception, there always is.
Also just pressing one of the keys lights up the screen (only the screen) for a few seconds so you can see the whole status. Phones are so small these days or are in a pocket so you don't see them. When you want to see the status you will have to grab it anyway so the extra push is not really a hassle and frankly something you did before too because the led is not enough then, you want to see the time and possibly the reception status if you are in doubt, in which case you want to see the bars instead of only an yes/no indication.
All this just to say that contrary to what I feared, I don't miss the led at all. The 'dead' phone says 'leave me alone, I'm fine, do whatever you have or want to do'. It is tensionless. It is asleep nicely.
The only caveat is that in powersave mode there is no way of getting it out of taht mode and display something somehow so it can take some time before you notice a message or missed call. But that has not happened to me yet.
Sorry for this long post but wanted to state my experience in this matter which might seem utterly and totally nonsensical to 99,9999999% of the world population - but we are here just for that. |

That's a good analisis men ! But anyway I like the green LED... and the three little "bips" when the phone connects at start up.
It's like the little Macintosh smiling (or now the Apple logo) when the computer starts up for us Mac users
Apple Ericsson would have been better ! T28 WORLD and... T39 again !!! |

I keep going back to my T68 time and time again, each time i try a new phone i end up back with the old trusty T68 and wonder why i keep trying new models, the P800 was too big, the V600 too pants.
Perhaps a new revamped T68+ with a mini SD / SIDO slot for some external memory and some addiotnal software options would be a worthy phone?

Praise the lord! The first spam filter for phones!
I wish I was so lucky not to receive SMS from Nokia phones. Imagine all the shit you would no longer have to delete
Put the t68i on ebay and you will be rich

@lordpercy
I agree should re-release the t68.
But just make it a little better (although its a top little phone), you know put a sd/mmc card in there better screen, top camera. But overall keep the same design and the little baby LED's (and stick the old t68m rubber battery back on).
I would buy that!
