I just ordered mine from them this morning over the phone - the website wouldn't accept my address. They seemed extremely helpful and friendly on the phone, but that's maybe because nothing has gone wrong yet

Vodafone didn't seem bothered to lose my custom at all - they offered me a "special deal" that involved paying them £200 more than O2, so unsurprisingly I said goodbye to them.

I just got mine from an o2 store in london. Very pleased with the phone. Also, just like to mention that there is an offer on at the moment. I got the o2 Media player thrown in free (with 64mb sd card).
Apparently its free with most phones this month!

@ alFR

true on that dont blaim ya, but i have ordered form them before and i am happy. my local stores did not have the k700 yet but onestopshoneshop have them and sending them today. It only takes a call to cancel an order so no problems for me. Also the gift as well as cash back that most shops advertise are the same deal, they give them in 3 or even more months.

got mine from o2 today. Only slight menu customisation on the top right icon. 36mb free, but pre stuff might be deletable, i havn't tried. Billing seems a bit weird at the moment but will hopefully be sorted soon.

I ordered mine from onestopphoneshop on monday. Recieved it today (thursday). Bluetooth headset was delivered same time as phone, as was the universal handsfree kit (bit poo but free so hey).

Phone had 40mb free when 1st turned on. Well chuffed about the ability to use mp3 as ringtones.

I got an email today from O2 online telling me my item has been dispatched. Should I receive it tomorrow?
Thanks,

Ordered on Wednesday, phones up today to see if credit check has passed OK and the guy told me he could not tell me if it had passed or failed, and that is it had failed, I would likely not hear anything back from them. WHAT?!?!?! That is awful service. I'm not expecting any problems, but I honestly can't believe they will just leave the order unfulfilled and not bother telling me if it fails the check.

Mine took 1 day after it said it was dispatched to arrive, so hopefully you should get it tommorow but it can take 3 days.

The credit check online says passed or failed, but it only took mine 3secs to pass me if you look at the times stated on their site.

Got mine from the O2 store in Cheltenham.

I chose the LeisureTime Plus tariff which gives 2000(!) off-peak minutes and 200 texts, 100kb of data a month. After 6 months it goes down to 1000 minutes and 100 texts. £20 per month.

I also got an O2 Media Player with 64mb SD card.

All this was free on any tariff, but I had to ask for the Media Player.

I know this is highly unlikely but can you chose you mobile no. using O2 online like in the shops. It would be nice.
If not, I'm going to port my number over next month when my vodafone contract runs out.
........The waiting is killing me.

After an initial cock up with o2 'forgetting' I had ordered my k700, i replaced the order and it came 2 days later, lightning.

So so happy! I think it is awesome, and (what seems contrary to some belief here) I think it is much better than the motorolas (including the v600) which have a habit of not sounding the alarms, I found, odd, I know.

one complaint is that i can't get rid of the, oooh, _3_ o2 pictures, so all in all, brilliant.

and it's really pretty, too!

using o2 online i dont not think you are able to choose your own phone number. I was never given the option anyway.
