Hei Bjerke!

Have you tried lodging a complaint with the QXL moderators?
Seems you have been ripped off by the seller, and that may constitute fraud. All the online auction sites are pretty eager to help people who have been defrauded by someone on their site.

Hi Bjerke,
I am here in the UK, and orange customer myself. I personally have an SE T39m on orange [sim-locked]. I think the unlocking fee is £25. If you were to send it over I could certainly phone them up and ask if they would unlock it for you? I'd have to charge you the unlocking fee but I'd be really happy to help you out cos what's happened to you really sucks

Drop me a line and we can talk about it. I've had phones unlocked on orange before and their service is very fast and reliable.

It's up to you whether you decide to trust me with your T68 but I'm happy to discuss it over the phone with you.

All the best.

deanuk - Orange wont unlock the phone - reason being it has to be registered to 'an account' & you have no 'proof' you are the registered owner of this phone unless..... you could try this: call orange first and ask them to check the IMEI for blacklisting (they can 'bar' a phone from the network) say you are thinking of buying it second hand & want to make sure it isn't a lost/stolen phone you are buying - 2nd(it may not work) get Bjerkebanen to pay for an orange Just Talk sim (£20 ish)- call & register it with the T68 IMEI - then call to have the phone unlocked - it's £20.00 - they may refuse to unlock though as the T68 isn't a JustTalk phone - hopes this helps....

Yea, point taken. Orange could have barred the handset if it's lost/stolen but I'm 100% sure they'll unlock it on my sim... i've done it that way before. They don't ask for any 'proof' that you own the phone so-long as it hasn't been reported as stolen/lost.

Hi, the t68 can now be unlocked remotely from anywhere as long as you are connected to the internet.

I think it costs £20 for one handset.

I'll post the details if anyone is interested.

I have received an e-mail from a London based company offering the service.
They are reliable as I have used them before.

Prices are:

No. of handsets/ Price
1 - 20 = £15.00
21 - 50 = £12.50
51 - 100 = £10.00

Post your e-mail address and I will forward it to you.

@Bjerkebanen

I would be very carefull with this kind of service. I guess this kind of service would force you to send away your phone. It's probably not legal. I don't now.

I would have waited for feedback from more Esato members before I sent off my phone to a unknown London based company. I understand you frustration, but I'm sure you not would like to loose your T68 for good.

You don't have to send your phone to them, they do it remotely. These people are trustworthy, they unlock all nokia's as well, and were the first to be able to unlock DCT4 phones (8310, 6510 etc.) and I have never heard a bad word against them.

I know of at least 5 other places in the UK currently unlocking T68's, some remotely, some require the phone.

I'll try and get some references from another site.

If anyones interested I'll forward them the e-mail I received.
