I also dont like the fastport situated on the side either. Like mentioned by another poster, the P700i proto has the fastport on the bottom... hope it doesnt change on the final product.

I'll be pleasured if release the hpm-70 connectors as the usb cable connectors. That's all se has to do and place the fastport at the bottom.

really hope so...
on the other hand, with fastport placed on the side and having a headset connected you always have to put the phone in your pocket Straight, this way its a bit annoying to pull out the phone and rotate it one-handed in order to use the phone, while i always used to put the phone in my pocket up-side-down with screen faced to my leg, this way pulling out and useing the phone is much easier, but with fast port placed on the side...what a pitty

I just gave it a bit of thought, but this is no good for left handed people because they (I think) keep their phone in their left pocket and take it out with their left hand. This will be really unpractical!

Can some fellow left-handed Esatonians give us some feedback.

Seeming as most phones now are A2DP compatible, I don't think it matters that much where your headset goes as the manufacturers will start to include BT headphones in the box some time soon.

Stereo via < Stereo via wires. And you need a wired connection for more than just music, e.g., USB, charging. Besides, without AVRCP, you still need to keep your phone in hand.

And I repeat, why did only just now release something like the MRC-60 if it won't work with their latest (side-mounted FastPort) phones?

I sincerely doubt that ... "some time soon"!!! It's as if s.o. had said a couple of years ago: why argue about memory card size, some time soon all phones will have hard drives(or built-in 10gb flash memory...)...
And why currently are the wired earphones in the box soooo brilliant () [addsig]
