Thanx Sir AMD, Mrao, GARDAR, _LAU_ for pushing out the details. . . .
BtW> Jabba- have you gotten it to work the other way? That is using P910i GPRS to surf thru lappy? I have WIDCOMM drivers with the Dongle. It does work over 40-50 meters atleast (not with phone, but with each other. I have two of them). Using BT for me is much hassle free. Hope these trick/ ways mentioned would work. Am with the R4A F/Ware on the P9. Still getting to learn it. More comfy with S7, maybe coz its single hand play !

Hey you guys are absolutely tremendous. I looked at the thread on how to connect to internet using the pc/laptop connection. You explain everything so well. One question though.
I am considering, in fact WILL purchase a laptop today. Is there anyway I can look for one that circumvents the need to put a b/t dongle in the usb port. Does a laptop stating it "has bluetooth"mean what I am asking or is this a dumb question.
I would rather ask you knowledgable guys than the service people in the shop.So any quick response would be appreciated as I intend leaving to make the purchase soon.

I had the same problem. Here's a quick'n dirty solution that worked for me: I simply uninstalled Opera and reinstalled it. I suspect that, in my case at least, the cause might have been that I had installed Opera before I had established a BT connection to my PC, or even had GPRS working.
Opera is now behaving so nicely that, if I happen to get out of BT range, it will open a GPRS connection on itself (I've set it up so that it has to ask nicely first and if only it would also close it on itself, it would be perfect...). |

Nope unfortunately NO JOY after reinstalling. Can someone tell me what the settings in preferences should be?
Oh and out of curiosity is it possible to get Agile to work through this?
