I for one like having a video recorder application, which is only available on the Nokia side.

One annoying thing with the newest bunch of Nokia's is the absence of Bluetooth.
Why on earth did they not include BT in 6610 for instance? It's clearly a business-style phone, but without BT the organization I work for would never consider buying it.
My guess is that most new SE phones that will be launched this spring will have BT.

you can check the latest press release.
http://www.ericsson.com/press/20030130-100153.html
the difference I found is tht Nokia only said it have 50 customer but Ericsson further explain it have around 90 trial site...which might mean potential customer

BTW I found they are actually tweaking their press release just like the time they claim to be the first to launch first 3G call in this planet. Anyway I do agree Nokia is leading since your explaination have proved by the link above. However in term of MMS solution, Ericsson have one upper hand, it is the company which initiate it. Nokia quit on EMS due to the picture msg they already have but they do agree to offer MMS.
On the e-wallet and e-commerce...if 6210 is the first to have them, then it will win over Ericsson but if not Ericsson R380/ R520 could be the first to allow m-commerce for phone. E-wallet actually look more or less like the code memo in E/// phone.

Ericsson do not recall their product. They simply ignore their customer !
This is why you hardly see a recall from Ericsson although the product is full of bug passing from one generation to another.
This is the main reason for lossing out in the market share. |

The difference is that Nokia doesn't announce how many trials there are with their MMSC. Probably about the same amount as Ericsson, since service providers make trials with several different vendors to deside which one suits best for them.

I'd have to say that a choice between SE or Nokia is not easy. I personally prefer SE (otherwise wouldn't be here) because I've had a couple of Nokias and hated the software.
I will stick to my T68i and rather wait for a new versin to come out rather than buying Nokia |

Think of it like wine, you start off with pretty bottles of fizzy stuff that gets you pissed quick, then you mature towards fine dry reds.
Ericsson is the grown up choice, more expensive but full bodied & an aquired taste. |

Will SE propose a similar device for 2003?

Not at all. Bluetooth is a live and doing VERY well. As for your other post about "buggy" software, I'm really sorry but Nokia takes the cake with bug-riddled software releases.
Besides, Nokia has a tendency to mislead their customers by just slapping a different casing onto a phone then calling it a whole new product number.

Actually no different for SE. T66 and T600 is one good example. They are basically same phone hardware with continuation of bug from one model to another ! Now T600 is almost disappear from market due to unresolved bugs. |

T600 is doing very well. And what are these "bugs" you keep referring to? C'mon, back up your pro-nokia rants with some facts.
What bugs? List them. IN DETAIL. |

The new txxx series are much improved than the txx with the exception of the t68m/i.i have the t200 and after 5 months of use,no bugs yet and it hasnt hanged yet on me compared to the t65 which hangs and unremovable battery.
The t600 is much improvd compared to the t66 in terms of design, keypad, and a very sensitìve antenna when it comes to reception. If only it has gprs, mms and bt and a colord display.
