Here is some useful information regarding Billionton Bluetooth (BT) adapter and my SE T68i phone (and probably other phones as well).
What I wanted to do was to Sync my Calendars, Notes and Contacts between Phone and computer running WinXP. I also wanted to copy pictures between them as well.
Upon reading severaly threads I thought I might give you the links and a more concise 'How to' with Billionton USB Bluetooth Adapter and SE T68i.
Billionton Web: http://www.billionton.com/
Drivers v1.3.2.7: http://www.billionton.com/extra/download.htm
Thread I used as a guide to understanding BT:
"Full guide to 'how to send pictures from a t68i to a pc using any bluetooth key'" by Bug One.

My Expeirence and Tips.
Although Bug One's Tips are good, I found that there was more info there than I needed to get me to sync Contacts, Notes and Calendar item and Pictures to and from my phone and Computer. Still read them as my guide as I'm not going to explain everything.
No-matter how much I tried I could not get the SE Suite to sync my Phone and Outlook under WinXP and Win2000 using older BT drivers 1.2.x
SE Image editr 1.4 still don't work for me with BT... but there is an easier way.
v1.3.2.7 drivers came out and now I now can do it all - without the SE Software!
Unplug your Billionton USB BT adapter, then Uninstall any and all other BT Drivers. Restart computer then install the v1.3.2.7 Billionton drivers (follow the installer, it will ask you to insert the BT adapter), there is a really good setup wizard that takes you through most of the stuff to get you going.
I am not going into the Setup or Pairing stuff... Read Bug One's Thead above for more info.
I'm just gonna tell you how to do the Syncing stuff!
So you have set your phone to BT discoverable, paired the devices.
(Better to just set the BT option on the Ph to 'ON' other wise you will be reconnecting the Phone with BT all the time - remember to turn it back to Automic or OFF or you will be seeing a very bright blue LED at night).
You can test your connection by Right clicking on the Taskbar BT icon, select 'QuickConnect' then 'Bluetooth Serial Port', select your Phone name and if all is working you will get a message saying that your Phone Com1 port is now ready and can be used as Com3 on the computer. If you device is not listed then select 'Other Devices' and Find it.
Note: You do not need to do this... this is just a test to see if you Computer can talk to the Phone via BT.
To Sync your Computer <=> Phone
Right click on Taskbar BT icon and select you device under 'Quick Connect' then 'PIM Syncronisation'.
That is it! WOW that Simple! Yep! no SE software needed! Yippie!
Note: The 1st time you sync computer <=> phone it will take a long time it can be up to 5 minutes to complete. You will either know it is working as there are blue bars slowly appearing in the 'Sychonizing..." popup or an error will occur. Subsiquent syncs will only take seconds... the more chages needed to update the longer it will take to sync.
To Copy Pictures between your Computer and Phone.
You actually do not Sync Pictures rather you send then from Phone to Computer, or Computer to phone, or Phone to Phone.
From Computer to Phone:
This method works BEST with .GIF images. (.JPG will also work but appear grainy on the phone)
Open up 'My computer'and got folder view (click the Folders button).
You should see a list of item on the left, My Documents, My Computer etc... in the left part of the wondow click on 'My Bluetooth Places', then click on 'Entire Bluetooth Neighbourhood', you should now see your Phone Name here, there will be a red tick on it if it is connected and paired via BT. Click on you phone and you will see on the right part of the window all the things you phone can do. You should see there is an item called 'xxx OBEX Object Push' (xxx is you device name).
Simply Drag and Drop you .GIF image onto this 'xxx OBEX Object Push' Icon and Woo Hoo your Phone will get the image. Just follow the Phone Prompts to recieve the image and it will be saved into phone 'My Pictures' Area. You can then use these images as a Backgound, ScreenSaver or MMS, BT, IR them to other phones.
Note: You can use the SE Image Edidior 1.4 to load up big pictures, zoom in/out and select the area you want to use on the phone screen then save them... BUT it will only save images in bitmap (.BMP) format... this is still OK... just use another Paint or Graphics program to convert the .BMP image to a .GIF file.
ALSO Note: there is a limit on Picture dimentions... SE Image Editor red box is already set to picture size 101x80 pixels (Wide x High). I can send these no problem between Computer and Phone. If I try another bigger (HxW) picture, I can send them to the phone but the picture is not seen on the Phone just a Box with a red cross in it. If the Picture I send is the same 101x80 ratio it still does not work. I do not have a MCA-25 Camera for the T68i, but from what I gather it can save pictures 640x480 on the phone and you can use them as Background etc.
ALSO Note #2: I suppose you can create an animated .GIF and then use it as an animated screen saver.
From Phone to Computer:
Goto 'My Pictures' under 'Fun and Games.
Scroll for a picture you want to send to computer, click on Menu Button and scroll to Send, Select your method... as we are sending to Computer via BT select 'Via Bluetooth'.
The image will appear in a Folder that you have set up with the Wizzard, default is 'My DocumentsBluetooth Exchange Folder'.
Note: You can change this folder location by right clicking on the Taskbar BT icon, Select 'Advanced Configuration' and under 'Local Services' Tab select 'File Transfer' and then click Properties Button. Here you can select another folder.
Thats It... easy as cold fusion!
MacOS X is much easier!
Cheers

@ Gigitt
Another thanx, I had most of the features working with the bluetooth, but I had just about given up on synching.
Funny I had only just mentioned it on the site about an hr ago and then I see this post.
Thx, you rock. |

Which PIM does this sync with on the computer? Outlook? Palm? |

Sorry... Forgot to put underpants on that morning too... lol
My Method above has ONLY been tested to work with Outlook.
I also think it will work with Outlook Express... as these are the 2 options seen when changing your setup under the Taskbar Bluetooth icon 'Advanced' options.
You will only See Outlook Express if you have not installed MS Office and/or Outlook.
PALM will not work with this method!
You will have to still look at buying the XTNDConnect software then try and get it to work... I have yet to get the XTNDConnect for SE to work under Win2000 with outlook... I just found an easier way with the Billionton BT Software... so I now not even gonna bother trying/using XTND software.
This is how I update my PALM (aka Handspring Visor) with T68i.
I have PC with XP Pro at home... this is what I have described above.
I have PC XP Pro and Mac OS X (10.2.4) at work - so I can do it all at one place.
With MacOS X I can Sync my T68i with PALM using iSync. This syncs T68i <=>Palm. I can then Take my T68i Home and sync it T68i <=> Outlook.
Pretty Cool!
Now all you need is a Mac!
