Hey i've got a A2618s as a back-up,its totally reliable,when i cant get a signal on my t68i,i know that i can rely on the(dinosaur brick)A2618s! So leave it alone! I never take it out with me tho,hehe:-)

This is my favourite group of Ericsson phones (there are others aswell, just click in the bottom):
And the phone I hate the most is A2618 because the slow respond, large size and bad keyboard. But I don't agree with you on the A1018, that phone was quite stable and had a graphical display (the GA628 and the GF series did not). It was sonderful to brag wiht costomized ringers at school, no one else had that in the time of A1018 (fall 1999, in Norway)

the A2618s and A2628s is the only phone that should be in the hall of shame.
in the hall of fame i would put the T28s T39 T66 R250 R520 and the T68. all these phones have something special.

??? the T66 is made by ericsson. only the A3616 and the R600 aren't ericsson phones. like the T200 and T100

I think A1018 was based on the older GA628 in terms of design (w/c also had inter-changeable faceplates). It's sort-of an improved GA628, not a copy of the 5110, i think. :-)

I guess i expected more from the t29. T28 was good, t29 wasn't. Crappy battery and too slow. Btw i didn't mention the ga318, because i didn't expect much from it :-)

hmm, maybe the a1018 (and probably all of its decendents), i had one upgraded from a ga628, the ga628 was the biggest selling phone ever in the uk (at the time), and the a1018 seemed like a poor attempt to keep up with the where the competiton had moved on to, instead of leading it, siemens c25 came out at the same time and had the same features in a phone half the size and the same price, it was obselete within months of its release.
Fortunatly they then brought out the t28, i was selling mobile phones back then and i remember thinking it was the most incredible phone ever, and was still a good phone 3 years after it first came out.
