Hi, just wanted know what the T720 is like; can you find good pics/screensavers/ringtones for it? is the reception any good? And anyone got an idea on where you can buy the camera for it, and how much it costs?
Thanks to anyone reading this, and taking the time to reply.

noooo way. the price speaks for itself. the 720 is at about 200-250$. its not that good. if you want moto, wait until the 725 or at least get the 720i

Whats the difference between the i and the normal one (apart from the camera)? also whens the 725 out? Is the phone any good though, dont matter about the price. Thanks for the reply anyway.

I played with the 720 for a few minutes and thought it was a little flimsy. Also, I'm not sure if its as easy to customize with backgrounds, themes, screensavers as it is with the T68i. And battery life is probably shorter that T68i, too.

here is an extract from mobile-review.com

The connection quality is quite good, the volume of the loudspeaker is sufficient the sound is clear. The polyphony is only 4-tones (16 instruments). The ringing tone is very quiet, it is practically not heard. Thanks God, the vibrating alert is rather strong and you can feel it even in from the bag.

The phone supports GPRS (4+1), it's pleasing of course, but using of this technology is necessary, first of all, to support Wap-browser and to view e-mail. You need to purchase cable to connect the phone to PC. IR-port is absent here.

The quality of the screen is not bad but you can't use it in sunny weather. The other great drawback is a low autonomy, every day you need to-recharge the phone.

In any case, T720 would be sold because many consumers pay attention to the phone design first of all, not to features. Unfortunately, Motorola T720 is only a transitional model and great sales are not expected. The fact that the phone supports only two bands (GSM900/1800) is another evidence.

Moto T720 is no match for SE T68i, a lot of things are lacking in the former, only 2 bands, no BT & not even IR! No MMS! Plus its chunkier than the T68i.

I got both of them, and if i had to choose, i'd never go for t720i (i got "i" model, but without camera). Even if dispaly is better in moto, colours are not vivd. And menu is typical motorola - nothing is where it should be. Battery lasts for about 4 days of very very limited use (it has more capacity than normal t720). At first, i thought it's gonna be great phone, but when i got it in my hands after using t68i for a month, i was a little disapointed. My opinion: it's good, but not VERY good.

the only thing better is the screen and the fact that it has poliphonics thats about it and yes did i forgot to mention that the battery life sucks ... no ir... no bt ....and so on and so on ....

but course its ure decision afterall ...

If you trade you T68i with T720, you also have to change you user name, cant call yourself T68iKING, am i making any sense?

I have a t68i and my wife has a 720i. I think that they are both really nice phones.
While I think that the t68i is the bomb, the 720i has much better menus, and it never hurts to be a flip phone.

@bokayo
I have a lot of T68i's thats why i am called the T68iKING, i may not decide to exchange, but the reason why i was is because; i got the T68i for cheap and cant find a good price to sell for.
Whats the difference between the T720 and T720i?

Anyone got a Nokia 7650, and want to trade for this:
I can give you a mint condition SE T68i (lastest software), unlocked, cd, manual, charger etc, plus the Mp3 player (boxed, mint etc), desktop charger, handsfree, and boom mic (car handsfree) all accessories and the phone total 250 pounds.

Thanks for everyones replies on top, but dont worry, i will always have a SE (T68i, or P800 when it comes out here!!!) just wanted a different phone as well as the T68i

@Arroyootje, Have you spotted the BOLD type when a SMS is knew yet,

@T68iKING thought you were giving up your T68i..

Posted by T68iKING
Never!! only maybe for a P800, but may still keep it as i have 2 sims.
So everyone is saying "No dont do it", is this because you think i wont have a SE phone, or is it because its crap?
Also, what new things can i do now that i'm getting a Laptop, with the T68i i mean?

Hi there! I'm planning to buy a second handy, but I don't know which I should choose! Nokia 3510i for 10 euro or Motorola 720i for 15 euro? Maybe you've got any other ideas? Thanks in advance! hErBi

@T68iKING

Just make sure your new laptop has bluetooth, or at least infra-red. Then you will be able to swap ringtones, backgrounds, theme, etc between the two devices.

Thanks! Don't ya think it's realy cheap ( of course at my operator)? Moto seems to be ok, but no IR. CHEERS! hErBi

Nah the lappy doesnt have IR or bluetooth, but its ok i can get a BT adapter or IR one, plus i have free wap so not a problem with pics, ringtones etc. i was wondering about other features: what else can i do apart from send pics to my phone from a lappy?

Decided not to exchange 1 of my T68i's then for the T720, you all say its not good.
