I am very much used to physical keypad and due to which I was looking at blackberry phones; few I found impressive with crisp features and really long lasting battery. But what lets me down are few articles about the grim future of BB phones and their new models not faring well with the audience.

On the other hand we see that the Android's rise is almost like a billiard-knock. And it was always the case that finding a 'Android-qwerty keypad-long battery' seems next to impossible. Though I found phones like Motorola XPRT with muscular battery of 1860 mAH (I was knocked off hearing the figure!), the reviews reported only below-average performance!!!

Thats where I am plunged into a dilemma between BB and Android:(

So folks, your valuable suggestions and ideas would surely help me...

Thanks,
Rao.

I am hooked on the portrait physical QWERTY ala the Bolds plus touchscreen and I am not really fond of the full touch phones.
That is why I am still using the brilliant Sony Ericsson P1i.

So, I will be getting the QNX running Bold, I was hoping that RIM would upgrade the 9900 to QNX cause I was set on getting the 9900. There is potential on the QNX but I am afraid it is too little too late for RIM, they are not going to be able to mount a serious challenge to Android and iOS. Those two OSs are just too entrenched and have a massive following that the only thing that RIM can hope for is just to temporarily stem the loss.

Lucky for me, I use two lines and so I can have one Android and a Blackberry. Right now I'd say the best scenario for Blackberry is a takeover cause thy really are going nowhere fast. Actually, they remind me of SE before the Sony buyout.
