Hey Bono, I have a question:

You had both Ray and Mini Pro, right? Is the diference between photos' quality huge?

For night pictures, does Ray do much better than Mini Pro?

Thanks buddy

Nope, it's not. Or at least in Bulgaria. And the surrounding countries. And I don't like the mini pro - it's way too small for my needs.

lol, I'm sorry but what here, apart from possibly the first screenshot, is supposed to look like an iphone (though even there, there are 5 dock apps when iphone only has 4!)

a bigger question is why!? surely if you want an android then buy an android or... you want an iphone then buy an iphone!

I say either don't bother... or turn it off and stop pretending!

Posted by Bonovox
I know,why do that

sorry, I guess I can sort of see why this might be of interest if you have an android and are considering an iphone but... this app is not representative at all and is not even worthy of a download.

sadly, you have indeed wasted your time

I remember when people tried to make their P900/P910 etc look like windows but it was a sad attempt at merely putting a desktop image of the XP BLISS image on their phone... and alot of wishful thinking...

there is only one thing i do envy about iOS...that is the super smooth animations!....i know a lot of you will say that u do not notice the lag much or at all...and most of the time i do find the animations very smooth on the mini pro...there are still occassions when i do notice it jitter and lag a bit....wanna see just how much improvement ICS can bring on a single core system! but having this super smooth animations would be awesome....but its still not a deal breaker for me to switch from android!

SE is advicing all the xmp owners to got to service centre for a fix of the static noise, if u feel still the problem is there or not satisfied with the fix then u can replace the handset, this was update by markus in facebook. here the reply by markus on FB,

Hi All,

To clear up somethings in the most recent posts:

1) We are certainly not trying to hide or cover up this situation that people are experiencing. Our aim is to be as transparent as possible when it comes to these discussions.

2) If you have updated your software and you feel the audio issue still exists, we have already stated we encourage you to hand your device into a service center. If the phone needs to be replaced, it will.

I will assume all in this thread have updated to the latest software available in their region, so now I will need feedback on what happened after a technician looked at your phone. If you do this, and reply, please include your work order number (or any other reference numbers) so I can follow up on my end as well.

-Markus

Had a new software update for the Xmini Pro today
old
Android 2.3.4--- 4.0.2.A.0.42

new
Android 2.3.4---4.0.2.A.0.58

Did not see any difference yet only the phone works smoother. (like before the update to 2.3.4)

Good at least SE are keeping the updates coming anyway

Posted by pt020
Yes a good sign

Posted by ceaser2008
Very good sign.

Got the Mini a place to rest...the "LiveDock".
Paid too much for it (50€) but I needed a place for the phone on the table.
It is smaller then I thought it would be but it does the job and looks nice.
Also view angle when on table is very good.
The live-dock comes in the box with a charger but without USB cable... line in/out are micro/normal USB but no sign for HDMI.

Posted by Bonovox
That looks funky!! Do you put it next to your bed??

Posted by pt020
No near pc ...watch tv on it and have all the pc's screen free for other things

Posted by Bonovox
TV on a 3 inch screen would kill my eyes

Posted by pt020
A nice film I will watch on big screen TV ... but news and for other nonsense it is good enough .
There are may apps for TV and I like the idea that I can see TV stations from all of the world live on 3inch screen on my phone ... 10 years ago it was Sci fi

Wow.. Pt020, you've got live dock. Man, you've got everything that fan plus others want to have. Best phone (my perception), best bluetooth handsfree, best bluetooth gadget and now best charging port including many things. Take care, i might kidnap you.

Thank you Ceaser ...
This is all the fun ... phones are +/- all the same but this little things make the difference.
I hope Sony will go SE way and keep on making this nice accessories.

Very nice thing, but I can't see the point in having a dock that only replicates the same connections you already have on the phone. Why didn't they put HDMI?

Thank you.
No there is not much logic in buying this ... thats why I found it too expensive but sometimes you just buy things for their comfort.
With older SE phones I was used to have a stand for my phones but this days the fast port connector is useless and I missed it.

Posted by ceaser2008
Oh my God !!! You have that fastport connector desk charger as well. You better lock your house, tonight i am going to break in your house,

Posted by pt020
this is my mini pro

And from the list I see it is the strongest of the single cores
P.S.
Killed all apps and made the test again and got even higher score

Hi guys

after more than six years with K750i I am going to buy this beauty (mini) . Is there any production problems and bugs with Mini?
I am new to android, so can you recommend some must have application? What I need to setup?

Best regards

No issues with mine I graduated from the k800i & the W995i to the mini pro - no regrets.

I recommend JuiceDefender (set it to aggressive saving mode) & Lookout (realtime anti-virus). Deleted the stock McAffee AV - Lookout is much better.

Hi,

I bought today Mini, its great, i dont have mcaffee av (edit** after update do latest software i have), is really necessary to have AV on android?
What is the best way to transfer my contacts from K750i to Mini? Can you guys recommend me best video and audio apps, also some must have system and utilites apps? What is the best Uninstaller app? and what apps i dont need on my phone?

I have removed the McAfee AV .... and installed a free version of AVG AV that updates it self and scans all incoming files. Works perfect and is for free .
https://market.android.com/de[....]wxLDEsImNvbS5hbnRpdmlydXMiXQ..
anyway good luck with your New phone ... big step after the K750 but Android is easy and works well ... you will like it.
In its time I had the K750i for 3 month and than moved to the W800i that i still have ... loved them both and love my Xmini pro too...

Either SE's own PC Companion or MyPhoneExplorer (which I prefer).

1. I think it's good to have an antivirus. AVG Antivirus is free and very reliable one.
2. Just send all your contacts through bluetooth to your Mini. Don't forget to go to mini's bluetooth settings and select the device to be traceable, otherwise k750 won't see it when it'll search for devices.
3. The best free, ad-free, that plays everything, media player is MoboPlayer. Search it on the market. For audio I'm satisfied with the android's player.
4. If your phone is rooted (don't ask me what this is...) there are plenty of unistallers in the market. If not, then you can uninstall unistallable apps through the android itself.

Posted by Vipera ammodytes
Thanks, i sent all contacts via bluetooth, works like a sharm.

I will try Mobo, one more question, i boring i know is there any app like "GPS status and toolbox" but with option to save coordinates and latitude?

Did you install MPE both on the phone and on your PC (you need both) ?
If so, did you try to connect through WiFi or USB ?

What about SDHC cards? They work in Mini?

Posted by pt020
If you talk about this kind of card ... it does.
