Sony releases Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Xperia T, Xperia V and Xperia TX

Xperia Android Jelly Bean Update

Sony has announced an OS update to the owners of Xperia V, Xperia T and Xperia TX. Jelly Bean is already available for Sony Xperia T and Xperia V while Xperia TX will get the update next month.

Some of the new features found in the new update are included in the vanilla Android update and some features are improved by Sony.

Sony highlights these features as the most important:

  • More intuitive versions of the Walkman, Album and Movies app provided by Sony
  • Increased options for personalization - The Google way
  • Improved app organization and search
  • Improved camera functionality - The camera app is where Sony shines
  • Google Now
Google has released two versions Jelly Bean. Version 4.1 is the major release and this is the one you will get from Sony. The latest version is 4.2 (also called Jelly Bean) which introduced even more features and improvements. Yes got mine now all smooth and fast except battery life is slightly worse
