I was looking to buy what I think in the past is one of the best protections for devices the Invisible Shield.
But to my surprise when looking at Zagg website (the creators of the Invisible Shield) I couldn't find it
for Xperia Mini/Mini Pro. I then contacted product development team requesting for this and the answer I got was,
to sum it up, that it's not popular enough and get not enough request for them to consider to create it.

Is it only me who wants to have an Invisible Shield for Xperia Mini/Mini Pro?

does anybody know if 2.3.4 available for mini pro here in the Philippines? my wife is waiting for it

I think updates just roll out region at a time. The Ray update for instance only just reached the UK. Sit tight

Oh good glad you did it. I always found SEUS better to work. But strangely it's no longer on their website. Must keep a copy of it but things may change soon changing to just Sony. I wonder if Sony will have a new update system with their new phones?? Really don't like the PC Companion at all.

Thanks pt020 for good news of resolving noise issue in update. Now as you have already updated to newer version, can you confirm the news??

Posted by mediar
You can download SEUS from here - http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]pdateservice/w910i?cc=bg&lc=bg You can choose another phone, that doesn't matter. The SEUS installer is always the same.

To me, this is the most perfect phone now without any known glitches. I dont know when this phone will be mine.

Posted by Sky Hi
Well, I bought this beauty yesterday for 175 euros, after selling my perfect conditioned c905 in a mobile phones store for 100 euros! So it took me 75 euros for this brand new one Mini (not the pro)!
Updated it to Android 2.3.4 from 2.3.3 which it had, and were added: McAfee antivirus (trial, uninstalled it...), Wisepilot (trial too, but good), Video Unlimited app (crap...), and the most important, 3D Sweep Panorama function in the camera and a 3D photo album for the pics you take this way. Some symbols I noticed a little bit changed, and that's all.
This is my 1st Android phone, and I must say I'm really amazed with Android. It really kicks!!!
I LOVE IT!!!

P.S. Just changed my avatar!

who told u it's not a hardware fault. it's a workaround process done by SE to fool all the mini pro customers. including me and those who updated to 2.3.4 still have the noise issue. the noise is gone only in the video recording that's all.

goto the following threads u'll find what's going on now

xda

SE official

SE is nicely playing game on their customers and then one day have to pay for it. they didn't done their work as promised.

and those who are planning or planned to buy this mobile just drop ur idea and better look for any other model/brand.

Well many others have said it's gone. Are you sure?? Maybe the static noise is still in your head?? I only noticed it when I had one in video recording and nothing else.

@ Bonovox
@ pt020

oh that's quite surprising. after update(2.3.4) did u test ur handset by opening the back cover. don't u hear any static noise while calling, opening any apps/games/anything or even in idle mode. r u sure to confirm this?.

and onething u've to remember that the static noise is not related to video recording, recording is the source to find the problem & to show the issue to others and what SE did?. the noise was suppressed in the video recording by SE and i already told u that this is a workaround process and they also accepted in the official forum.

still SE is finding a solution for the issue, let wait and see what they are going to do for their valuable customers around the world.

if u don't have the noise then u both r lucky. mine is still having the noise, after update i tested, am one of the unluckiest, i think.

I don't have the phone no more. I wanted a bigger screen in the end and better camera. If you see my signature I have a Samsung GS2 now.

Carphone warehouse still have the mini version (not the pro) in stock. Is this still the stock that are faulty?
Phones 4u have recalled there mini phones but have none in stock.

Do you buy from carphone warehouse or is it not worth it yet?

Posted by Bonovox
How are we supposed to know weather their stock is faulty or not?? It's not possible for us to know this. I would check with them.

Posted by ceaser2008
Pt020 thanks for the info. Its really nice to have this specifications and scores in phone, we own.

Posted by airefc
I have asked at carphone warehouse obviously. They didnt know of any fault. Phones 4 u know about the fault and have recalled but havent had it back in. Thats why im asking here

Posted by Bonovox
Not sure where else anyone would know. I never knew they had been recalled. Maybe now they get the new stock in with the update & no fault

Posted by adsada
Price down to £130 on PAYG, this could be quite a big seller coming up to Christmas

Posted by Bonovox
Wow that's good!!

Posted by ceaser2008
Wow price is dropped. Let me check here at local sony ericsson shop.

Posted by Bonovox
Maybe it's cos of Sony Ericsson split.

Be cool if alot of their top devices dropped in price cos of the split

Posted by masada1971
Let me ask one question to the owners of this small masterpiece..are you satisfied with the images that xperia mini can produce??i am asking because as a previous user of x10 mini i was completely satisfied with its camera capabilities and i am planning to get new mini soon but i want to shot good pics with it like my x10...

Posted by Bonovox
There is a slight drop in photo quality compared to the older Mini's. But it's really not a huge difference. Just slightly less details. For most everyday photography it's fine just when zoomed in they lack details. But file size is no different between old & new Mini's.

Posted by masada1971
thank you..that was quick

Posted by Bonovox
I was online & seen your post & having had both phones before I could answer. But the Mini pro is still an excellent device & if you try you can get decent images from it. They look more grainy on here but better on my HD monitor

That's Mini Pro

Posted by airefc
Photo quality looks okay for the device especially if the new price range is correct. Seems the same as the x10 mini really.

Hey Bono, I have a question:

You had both Ray and Mini Pro, right? Is the diference between photos' quality huge?

For night pictures, does Ray do much better than Mini Pro?

Thanks buddy

Posted by kewsvnet
This can only be taken from one phone!

Absolutely yes. The Ray was a surprise to me with an excellent camera especially in bright sunlight. Best of the new breed of the Xperia bunch imo. There is a few pics from the Ray uploaded in photos section I took.

well u can tell from the subtle clock and unlock bar! its Xperia...but its the only one which would be let you unlock in landscape mode! when the keyboard is out! (i guess the pro can do that as well) but since this res is HVGA...its only one phone...the mini pro!!! just got 2.3.4 and was trying out the screenshot facility!

Since the Pro isn't out, the mini pro is still the onliest Xperia with that ability.
