Well, all I can say i'm really impressed by the speed on the phone. I were afraid it should behave a little like the x10 but it's not near that experience Going from iphone 4 to this one was not a misstake. I'm really happy

Hmmm,Apple. I have worn the iphone 4 t shirt & got stung. In areas of good coverage & no matter what I did all my calls would goto voice mail. Useless as a phone @dibdin no I doubt it

Any reason why not?

@Killmaster9 did you go from ip4 to the Arc? seems like an odd choice, iphone duds/girls are such fanbois and not much of an upgrade, not mention the ip4 is expencive as hell!

Congratulations to you guys on getting the phone. Hope it provides you with many hours of entertainment.

I apologize if this has been asked before but, when is the Arc coming to AT&T? If not, will it be available from anyone with an AT&T contract?

I'm no fanboy to any side. I just like phones ip4 was not that expensive. Upgrade it is, at least I think so, no more itunes

itunes wreaked havoc with my pc messed everything up and stopped some things from working. Had to reset pc. Never again.

@Bonovox,
actually itunes is pretty good for organizing the music! It also gets album covers automatically which is nice..
Also can you test the multi touch inputs in it? is it really a multi touch phone? Because I have htc desire and the multi touch sucks in it, only good for pinching and not playing games and stuff.
Btw, the arc avatar which you guys have looks like x8 .. It should be from the side, to show off the curves

Have you guys tried Sony's "Media Go" as an iTunes replacement?
I have tried quite a few different media players/organisers and have settled on Media Go. All the functionality I need, and simple to use. (similar to iTunes)
It also doesn't seem to cripple your computer at all

Guys, just to let you know, ARC has auto brightness, put it on the middle of the brighness level bar, then try it, i did right now, put the mobile in front of a light, then turned it off and then it started getting darker.

@djin multi touch on Arc is the smoothest and most fluid I have used. Really excellent. With all the new added features and miles better performance its certainly a big step up from x10.

At&T is really slow in picking up SE. I remember I had my X10 few months before it appeared on their network. I am just waiting for Rogers from Canada to release their Arc and then I will just get one of those. Rogers & ATT uses the same 3G band, so it will work here. Will mostly likely appear on Ebay or from resellers around the web. Hopefully they will have the Silver one as well. Rogers will most likely release the Arc around mid to late April..so few more weeks to wait.

Ok, expansys has had silver in and listed for a day or so, that couple of days has been a little too long for me to bear so I ordered. Hopefully, it'll be here soon. I'm sweating with excitement.

That article suggests that apple will be using a Sony sensor but makes no mention of it being an Exmor R sensor. It also states that Sony would probably only take care of the first wave of orders, presumably till Omnivision can ramp up production meaning that it's unlikely to be the Exmor R sensor as it's Sony tech. I would imagine the sensor is more along the lines of the one seen in the X10.
@>500 10%? 10 GBP? I went to expansys with a 5% voucher and asked for it to be delivered to China (I'm living in Beijing for the time being), they took off the VAT and the order came to under 400 Great British Pounds inc Fed-Ex delivery.

Nopes. Its 25k including tax. So it should be around 24k at launch.

The headphones included in my box are crap, no bass at all, very light sound, then i put those that came with the x10 and it's very good.

Well I say the headphones in the box are ok but I have heard better. I never noticed before the all new SE own set of message tones. They are a nice alternative to the same old Android ones. They sound space age some of them.

Unfortunately, the XPERIA Arc does not support smart dialing
are you kidding me?
Posted by Bonovox
Reading reviews of many Android handsets from other manufacturers smart dailing never seems to be featured. Who cares anyway I am not in need of using it.
Posted by Arne Anka
In the minis there is a smart dialing widget. Would guess there may be something similar for Arc. Like Bonovox, personally I have never felt any need for it.
Posted by Ricke77
Soo, when will we get "ARC"-avatars??

Smart dialing is a must-have feature IMO. They must have included it whether some one cares or not...
