Glad to hear. This puts all those previews with bad Arc camera pictures on shame.

I havent vanished i'm still here. I mentioned in an earlier post that i got to play with it for only 10mins as i want to give the phone a good few hours charge, plus i had a few things to do as i had to wait till 2pm for it to arrive.

I am more than happy to give a review, but when i have had time to go through the phone thoroughly.

How much the internal memory in Arc?
and it's enough for many heavy apps ? I have problem with my Desire in this issue..

Posted by AndyD777
The Arc has 380MB storage, I currently have 30 applications installed on mine and I still have 205MB free.

@ roanmy Isn't that what a screen protector is or have a misunderstood the question?

As far as I understood, the X10 has a scratch proof sheet on it, an then the protector?

Why don't you install on memory card?

Posted by Ravanelli
Arc user can you tell me how long the battery can last after a few cycle?
I mean the exact hours...

hi, can anyone help??

trying to set WakeUp.Mp3 from satio/Vivaz Pro to my Xperia Arc alarm tone

link:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/ze81dd41pgid7dg/WakeUp.MP3

It`s on the Memory card but the alarm settings cannot find it.

Thankyou

@rmk152 on the X10i you had to place it in the right folder where the system looks for it, if i remember correct its
sdcard/media/audio/alarms
and notifications for sms signals

1) Is there a way to remove some of the pre-installed apps on the Arc? Like the Postcard app, which always ends up as the first option when choosing how to send a picture.

2) Anyone that have found the rather nice looking favorites app seen here on the Xperia neo?

Using Xplore i can only find:

Android
DCIM
LOST.DIR
WhatsApp

not including my folders.

NB. i can definr the ringtone ok using my MP3 folder. Mmmmmm

Posted by SKIBBE
you have to create the folder(s) if they do not exists
the tones you see are "system sounds" they are not on your sdcard.

ie. make a folder called media on the root of your sdcard and inside audio and inside that alarms media/audio/alarms

I just got mine to... But right now I have to get the kids to sleep so I can play with it alone all night!

@Skibbe Jävla osis du har... Det måste ju vara rena självplågeriet att läsa denna sidan nu och få vänta tills måndag...

Posted by Bonovox
I am sure I remember reading that the Arc has a built in compass. Where is it??

Posted by tai020381
Mine is 2.3.2 how about you guys??

Posted by SKIBBE

@rmk152 strange, maybe android 2.3 has some other folders, google it?

Yeah me to UK.

@rmk152,

Try restarting your phone maybe it might recognize after that, or you could maybe set the alarm tone thru the music player app.

Posted by Bonovox
Yes mine is too

Posted by rmk152
@SKIBBE ok, thankyou for your time.

Posted by Bonovox
I got one strange issue. After unplugging my Arc to pc all my album art vanishes

Posted by tai020381
Go download mp3 tag to tag album art into your songs. Have fun!!~

Posted by Bonovox

ok, the music player says it cannot play the track. i will try to re-encode it, maybe that was the problem all along.

The PC played it OK though.

Ok i re-encoded the file and everything is now ok.

What do you need it for?
It's strange, my friend has Android device (HTC Desire HD) and has no problems with album art.

Posted by tai020381
This application permanently sticks album art into your song. So wherever you bring your songs the album art goes with it. Its just another alternative.

@Arc users: Would any of you please try and play an HD movie, and report back the results?... does it play smoothly or there is visible lag?

Thanks in advance!

Posted by dibdin
Do you guys keep the disply at automatic brightness?

Posted by Bonovox
There is no auto brightness. HD movies are splendid like the pre-installed Final Fantasy very smooth. @Doministry When I had a Desire HD I had same issue of no album art I think sometimes it's an Android problem.

I have used this phone extensively for past two days now & found no bugs. Kudos to Although only thing I have not used yet is Wi Fi. I love the music player widget with the little white flowing bubbles

REAL review out!!!~

Yay!!

Posted by dibdin
GSM arena seem to be pretty impressed with the Arc overall, especially the camera. Expected them to say more about the beautiful screen, and they seemed to go on about the automatic brightness.

Posted by Bonovox
Being a little picky cos the screen is impressive. And as for viewing angle I look at my phone head on I also fine I use the touch focus more than camera key as there is no shutter lag I get no blurry shots.
