I have it too, at the moment, it's not that annoying as it was on the x10, but i'll decide later if i quit it or not.

The screen responsiveness is awesome, if you use a multitouch test on the xperia, apart from the cross axis bug, you notice a little of lag(like if the "dot" follows you instead of being with you), you don't see that with the Arc.

CPW have these in stock on o2 now

They are posting mine today for delivery on Monday

Yes screen responsiveness is second to none. Really impressive. And having the screen right up against the glass with no air gap inbeween makes it super bright responsive. And also no gap under the screen means no dust can get inside. I still have the protective layer on but if it becomes scratched I shall remove it. Wonderful device.

@Bono, did you receive the HDMI cable in your box?

Posted by Bonovox
Sorry yes I did

I was trying to find the "change language" at first

Got mine today, misty blue from e2save. 1st impressions were omg this is amazing, even from all the HTC Desire owners.

One thing I want to know is if that is actually a screen proctector attached, or do I try and attach the one in the box.

Haha good joke. If you look around the edges it the screen at the bottom you can see in good light the layer on top which is the screen protector.

It was reported in the SE blog some time ago that the possibility to change theme that has been shown on some youtube clips was only experimental and nothing that would be part of the initial release. But it may of course eventually come with a later SW update.

Posted by Ratti3
that blue theme is just the wallpaper

if you change the wallpaper the button and menu colours remain the same (slate grey I think)

Can't see how you can change that?

Congrats to all new Arc Androids

Posted by SE-Naz
Mine arrived at 9.30... I have had a quick play, but have been charging it... So far I am loving it... the screen is so much better...

Posted by dibdin
Well i have a little play of my Arc for 10mins or so while on charge. First thing that hits you is how incredibly light it feels, not in a bad way though. The device itself looks and feels just great to hold. The screen is nothing short of magnificent, very vibrant with punchy colours.

I have a few things to do plus i want to give the battery a good charge before i get to know my new friend that little bit better. First impressions though i am impressed.

Posted by Bonovox
Glad your all happy with it I know I am. Yes,it is light but not too light whereby it feels like nothing. Cos it has a lovely feeling in the hand!!

Is the battery life better than on the X10?

JUST WAIT till monday!
I am using WP7 on daily basis as a main device since December.
I didn' like Androids UI.

But I thought I will adapt to WP7 limitations and now looks like I have enough of them.
So now impressed with Arc photo abilities as well as general Android 2.3 capabilities, I get my Arc on monday.
So I will have a really really good comparison and the decision for the next year will be made soon since I want to settle with the OS I will enjoy and use the most.
Android is so much more capable right now but WP7s UI is so much cleaner.

Posted by Bonovox
Well,no I don't have any case I will look later. I think for to build a device so thin with all these features & power inside is quite an achievement & it works flawlessly. Well done to I say. By the way I have so far just had one slight crash or freeze. Opera Mini crashed on me just once that was all. But it kept doing it on the x8 too so not sure if it is the Xperia or Opera the new Opera Mini. I was running nothing else so & it has been fine since. @Doministry W7 nah too many limitations. Gingerbread is so smooth & fluid. I still think Gingerbread though on the x10 would be yeah ok but the x10 is too laggy

I would say it's opera mini as it crashed a few times on my HTC Desire. Do you prefer opera mini to the stock browser?

Posted by Bonovox
No I don't prefer it I think I use it cos it uses less data on Opera. The stock browser is fine

Posted by SKIBBE

Strange thing I noticed with the camera. When put in macro mode it is crap but when in normal or multi focus mode macro works Is this backwards?? I also noticed how strong greens are in the camera. But I have yet to see any phone camera with a faster shutter speed. So fast with touch focus with no shutter lag at all

I have just noticed the Arc has a pre applied screen protector.

The camera on this is a joy to use it really is...

Posted by Bonovox
Yes it sure is. If I remember right though the screen protector on the x10 scratched too easy so I took mine off.

Posted by SKIBBE
I only removed mine to be Hardcore

Nobody answered this last time, so I'm asking again. Are you sure that's not just the scrath-proof sheet? Like on the X10?

Posted by AndyD777
@ roanmy Isn't that what a screen protector is or have a misunderstood the question?
