@Bonovox can you put to rest for some people on here who claim that the Arc feels/looks cheap because its plastic? Just how nice does it feel in the hand??

OK I gotta have a shower then pop out. But I did a quick play around. Phone does not feel cheap it has hard nice plastics & is well built. The midnight blue one is not really a bad finger print magnet at all. Anyway it feels fast smooth the screen is stunning voice call volume & clarity perfect. This is one quick photo taken with the Arc in dull conditions. Photos are fine imo. You just have to hold steady. photo of the box was taken with x8

I took the 8 gig card out using my 16 gig one. iI think any content would be on that. Promise Will be back later this afternoon to show more photos and more info. Just to update the camera is super fast no lag at all macro is excellent and viewfinder looks stunning on big screen. I got some sunshine so Will take more pics and do some lowlight ones tonight of my street. And test flash. Laters

There are a couple of movie samples pre-installed on the SD-card, e.g. a nice demo vid for Final Fantasy XIV.

Accessories depends on country and supplier. I got a screen protector, leather pouch and 16 GB memory card with mine.

Posted by SKIBBE
ANyone know where to get a "arm-pocket" for the ARC (walking/running)?

Posted by caff111
is there pre-installed screen protector on Arc like X10?

Posted by Bonovox
Yes screen protector is in box & pre installed one. No case though I am going to delay my going out till an hour & post some pics give me a min. And yes lots of videos on card & images some games & apps

You say you have some Sun, if you can let us know how well the screen fares in direct sunlight. I have read that it is good under such conditions but would still like to hear what your take on it is.

Posted by Bonovox
No washing out of colours in sunshine AT ALL & it is very clear outside!!

Posted by Tsepz_GP
Congrats Bono! Looking forward to your pics of it and little bit of a review.

Posted by Killmaster9
@SKIBBE

Komplett have moved the date of Misty silver from 4th untill 1th of april

Hope you'll get your phone on monday

Posted by Bonovox
OK flash is better than x10 & better than most LED flashes. Also looking at the images on my HD monitor they do look nice & sharp well exposed with decent colours. They will look not as good on here dues to compression. Nothing wrong with camera at all but these are NOT my best efforts by far just quick random shots. Sorry I will do far better shots than this I do need to pop out now

Am out on the bus now and I tell you what browsing on this huge screen is a joy. And its fast

Posted by tyko
These photos are much than the previous I've seen. Less artfacts and sharper. Good!

Posted by Bonovox
I will do better though they were bit rushed. Catch ya all later

Posted by unknown_x
I've read in some reviews that the ARC photos have almost no compression at all, i hope you enjoy it, i think i'll get mine today too.

BTW, that pepsi shot is wonderful.

Very happy with Bonovox's feedback of the Arc so far. It sounds like its justified its status of being a good all rounder, and those photos look nice too.

I have now been told I should get mine tommorrow.

Posted by SE-Naz
Congrats Bonovox - I know you only just got it... But how do you feel the battery is holding up...?

Can't wait mine will be here tomorrow by 1PM...

That will be interesting, because whenever I get a new phone I always like to give it a good 17 hour charge or so before using it properly. I take it Bonovox has not had time to give it any sort of charge yet???

Posted by Bonovox
I am out having lunch now with a friend. Now I was using touch capture and its so quick and accurate. Also the phone just feels lovely to use. Battery I only charged for a bit so cannot say yet. The blue one the back cover gives a nice swish look to it almost looks like marble. See ya later

Posted by caff111
so Sweden package got all the goodies...........16gb sd card, hdmi cable, pouch..............so good !

Posted by dibdin
It's comforting to know all these positive things you have to say about the Arc, but it doesn't make it any easier when your waiting for the god damn thing!!

Posted by SE-Naz
@dibdin

Carphone Warehouse.

Posted by Bonovox
Got mine direct from SE online. Next day delivery it came before 9am. Doing some more shots out and about now its such a pleasure and fun to use. Loving it so much better than x10. We will have to post more photos in Arc photo thread now though. Although plastic to me it feels like a sexy piece of jewlery

Are you sure the pre-installed one isn't just the scrath-proof sheet on the display? I remember there was a lot of confusion about this when the X10 was first released. =P

You obviously haven't read the reviews and feedback that I have. The Arc oozes quality from what I have heard and that's all I care about.

Posted by mariozlp
Think i'll wait the second half of the year to see what else SE can give... hope i wont get annoyed by my Satio more...

The online shops in Europe have prices down to 460 Euros already.

Edit: Actually I see now prices even at the 410 level

Man your ignorance speaks of childhood narrow-mindedness. This thread is "The Official Arc Thread" not the The Arc ONLY thread. Anyone is able to speak their mind within the rules of the forum and within common decency to others.

That said lets go by past models, mistakes, and changes in direction that has done and compare those movements with vast fans posting in multiple threads on Esato. Take notice that has paid quite a good amount of attention to users on these boards - maybe only a small handful few but they do. Of all the fan sites - the basis of the core sales by target audience (bread & butter), Esato is the OLDEST and the most popular of them all.

NOW with all of this … discussions of competing products in "official" threads, both here & abroad, should be allowed to broaden minds, comparison shopping, even value conscious users looking to get the best for their hard-earned dollar. Being ignorant to what the competition offers has costs millions of dollars, sales, and almost their competitiveness: for proof one just needs to go back 4 qtrs to see the "RED" on the balance sheet of the partnership.
