The x8 which is great for the price but I need more higher quality. That's why I want Neo. Despite my sometimes annoyances with Sony Ericsson I always end up back with them after trying other manufacturers. That speaks volumes and I think they have come good this time they have turned a corner for the better. Never had any reboots with x8 or x10 I think sometimes people are over doing it with their devices running and expecting it to work like a real computer but it won't so people get many reboots.

interesting to hear you mentioning about the nexus s earlier, as I was thinking of getting that before the Arc.

Well nearly every Samsung handset I have owned seems to have a very bad over heating problem. The Galaxy S the Wave and Nexus S they all seem to become so hot whilst in use I had experienced reboots

Incredible S will be 2.3 aswell. The Evo 3D is running 2.3 and can clearly be seen to be faster than the Arc.

But the Evo 3D is dual core 1.2Ghz and 1080p video aswell as the 3D so a very different phone to the Arc.

And it's a HTC so turn on usb debugging the second you get it and buy yourself an extra battery =)

And from the benchmarks I have seen on the evo 3D so far it isn't a single bit better then the arc in processing power

Perhaps you would need an extra battery seeing if you want every app like weather updating every 5 seconds. I personally haven't had the need to do that. That battery is 1730 mah last time I looked and the Arc's is 1500 mah.....

The random reboot bug was something that was found on early versions of gingerbread(2.3.2) but it was fixed by google in version 2.3.3(month after it was discovered by users) so what users are experiencing should be blamed at google, not .
It should be fixed with release of 2.3.3 version of android for arc and other xperia phones like neo and play.
More informations can be found here.

Someone told him to format the microsd and now it seems fixed.
I tried formatting the card after reading your post, and so good so far! I'll post if anything changes. Can't really predict when it might reboot.

Yes I agree, the play is the big player, followed by the Arc and the Neo.

Posted by Bonovox
Looking at the rest of the market with the same old boring looking touch screens coming out(HTC,Samsung,LG) Xperia stand out as unique looks & the Play is the only one of it's kind

Posted by dibdin
You forgot to add Motorola to your list as well lol.

I get the exact same from my DHD battery as I do from my X10 and so does everyone else on xda go have a look before trying to slate a phone you haven't even owned.

If anyone has owned the phone they would know such a simple thing like change applications from updating every 5 seconds to every hour or longer reduces battery consumption. ROMs do increase performance even more including overclocking the CPU is that a bad thing because I don't think so. At least which HTC and xda there is the most device support for HTC unlike with SE and here. The only thing there is on here is ooo hasn't this SE got a good camera than that other camera phone when actually there both good.

Where's SE's dual core phone, tablet and 3D phone??? SE has only brought out 2.3 so the clueless consumer would buy it. I don't call a device with a 3% increase in features ie HDMI, Bravia screen, Ex-mor R with last years technology a new device when other manufactuers are bringing out this years technology and doing a good job about it.

A 3D phone is a pointless gimmick & a tablet well,do they have to?? No.

3D video at 720p and records 2D at 1080p on a screen that shows 3D depth, obviously haven't seen that screen either or how fast the UI is, being able to watch 3D You Tube on it as well as further 3D content.

Dual core as well, more RAM than SE, I call that an advancement over what SE bring out.

I have seen 3D video & photos on a Fuji camera worth over £400 & to be honest it leaves alot to be desired & just makes ya eyes go funny I just as a personal opinion see no point in 3D on phones
Photo of display compared to Super Amoled on Galaxy S. See the horrible whites on the Galaxy S

Thanks for this photo.

Posted by Bonovox
Goto mobile-review.com it is actually a Neo display which is same as Arc one next to Galaxy S

Posted by Toney_Ericsson
The Arc's white looks horrible compared to the X10 and iPhone.

The Arc's white is yellow compared to the others.

Posted by doministry
Lol for me X10's looks the worst from the above.
Anyway the photo is bad itself.

Posted by Toney_Ericsson
So much for the 1500 mah battery reading about 11 hour battery life on the Arc or will this be the same case as simply changing apps from updating so often....

I hate to break your bubble but http://news.softpedia.com/new[....]ainst-Custom-ROMs-191196.shtml . That support for custom firmware should reduce by a bit .

Best bet would be Carphone Warehouse they will stock it sim-free.

However, its already out of stock on pre-orders so you will have to act fast to try and get one me thinks.

As I have previously said I haven't felt the need to use custom ROM's so that doesn't actually break my bubble as you have intended now has it?

I don't use them on mine as I'm happy enough with stock and Sense is excellent as it is. I see the new stock Sense UI in the Evo 3D blows the Arc away with its UI speed especially that spinning carousel.

There is more interest in htc that doesn't change on xda, in fact if anything one of the same devs would be responsible for unlocking the bootloader in an se so I would be appreciative of that.

Edit: Just had a look about your speculation on xda and Incredible S has already been successfully rooted. Now theres device support

Perhaps because noone can be bothered with se because if they could I'm sure it would be

HTC locked the thunderbolt bootloader and it took all of a day to unlock on xda.

I agree with that.

And furthermore, i feel as if he brings very little way in this thread with his constant dribble and trying to find fault with the Arc at every turn.

Lol I can and will buy any phone I like if its a HTC, SE or whatever. It's not up to you or anyone what I buy. I might get an Arc which is the only reason I have an interest. I want to see that its actually worth while though.

Hi folks,

When or if will they announce it on O2 do you think?

I've definitely decided my vivaz doesn't cut the mustard and I want an Arc but I want to compare the contract prices with p&g and might go for a contract for the first time in about 10 years but there is no info yet for O2 even on the web site.

So far it's just T Mobile, Orange or Vodafone non of which I want.

Carphone Warehouse would have it before them, if any network has it on Pay as you go you could get it through CPW as all there phones are sim free but it will be a similar price to sim free.
