Both qwerty and regular keypad seem to be available
Optical Zoom!!
one say it should ship with a 10GB hard-drive, GPS antenna, 6MP camera and optical zoom.
... time will tell

:| i dont know what to say!!!!
fake? i think so... cuz a phone with optical zoom camera!?!! well we'll wait and see if there's some truth in this!
i will admit, it looks awesome!
Posted by Dogmann
@CrazyGuns
Optical zoom has already appeared on two Nokia devices first was the N93 and then the N93i so it something that Nokia are already able to do if they want to.

Fake and ugly!
Posted by himlims_nl
optical zoom has been done by samsung (anycall) which got a 10MP phone with 3x optical zoom lens.
what i understand is this is a prototype ... the pictures shown are renders.
but it just might be, i mean the qwerty is like 6820.
and it's design is like a cubed nokia like always
Posted by gola
i love it.but it's fake,the camera side doesn't look like the usual nseries we have become accustomed to...
I hope i'm wrong

can you name a slim N-series phone?
Posted by goldenface
Ok I guess but it look like you would need two hands to text as that keypad doesn't look to sturdy at all.

@goldenface
Not even known is it true or not,neither used it, but you went that far complaining that doesnt look sturdy just by looking at first sight.
it's not FAIR i think.i doubt wheather if it was SE u would have said that on first go for any phone.

N76??

@arunvc
GF is just saying that as the keypads look quite thin in the photos.... Dont know why you have to say such a rediculous comment.
Though i think its safe to say, if this phone exists, its design will differ quite a bit, as well as the keypad
Posted by CrazyGuns
hmmm, it kindof reminds me of my old 7710.. the rectangleish design... i hope nokia actually is making this!
Posted by number1
look nice, but it's a photoshop the phone would have to be twice as thick as that to support optical zoom and that keyboard

I think the concept is good, I'm just saying that the keypad looks quite thin compared to the rest of the phone. It just doesn't 'look' very sturdy, thats all. If your were to text with that phone using just one hand you would be supporting the whole phone by holding just that slim keypad, wouldn't you think?

isnt it the same with you ?
It is not fair either than you keep complaining about SE phone: i dont even think you tried some of the SE phones that you were talking about in your "nice" thread
On topic: the phone looks quite is nice, even though its a photoshop

i think it's just a idea phone oli..maybe in future 10 years will produce..

It looks fake to me
Posted by RandomCarpet
Of course it is fake, unless it uses some ultra intelligent sliding mechanism for that keyboard and super duty materials that cost $200 alone
Posted by DarkKrypt
fake it is
look at the first two pics of the keypad
it slides from the bottom right? right!
so when the phone is flipped and you see the camera
do the keypads morph into the back or something so there are no visible lining of where they keypad comes out of..?
anyways its an ok design would sell in my opinion if they fix the keypad; i agree with goldenface here, they seem kind of thin for a phone thats that thick
Posted by gola
@DarKKrypt
wrong you are!
it slides into the middle...
Posted by DarkKrypt
this seems to be at the at bottom
as you can see here with the circle lol
this seem to slide between the keys above^ and the boxed area below_
the bottom boxed area - so where are the keypads?
also the side boxed area -in the middle of the phone - seems to have very faint lines which could possibly be the slide part for the qwerty
i dont know gola i think it is a fake
there are other things that make it a fake but i cant be bothered poitning it out..
Posted by gola
fantastic,you are right.well it is a fake,atleast that's for sure...

yes this should be where the two keypads part, look carefully inside the red frame.:
this is keypad1:
and this keypad2:

i don't like the qwerty keys of this N96 they r too small for me, i'm presently using N95 n i'm thinking of upgrading i'm really thinking of E90, with it's standard large qwerty keyboard. This N96"s keys r too small.

Looks like an oversized N81, but then again i love the N81 design so that looks great!
Posted by technical-expert
Althught it looks like n81 +n82
Glossy shiny black materials from n81-may be a finger print magnet &
Stripes from the N82 back

probably thats the n-series touchscreen device running the all new s60 touch
Posted by soane28
N81 5mpx version? Possibly with 10gb? Looks to have 2.6 > screen.

@symbian world
Does it have slide out qwerty keyboard or the media keys slide and 3" screen .And there seems to be tilt , will it have 16gb hdd, Will it have vga screen

As far as I know it has 16GB HDD.
However, the rest I don't know.
I don't think that it has a QWERY Keyboard. I do think that it has mutlimedia keys or stereo speakers slide

Why do all nokia handsets have to look the same? At least if they were actually good designs...
Posted by drsilverworm
It's much slimmer than n95! Very curious about screen size and UI speed. If this thing has a faster UI than N95 and k850 even, it will be a winner.
Also it does not appear to have a touchscreen, as there are clearly soft keys for moving through the UI.

If we look closely to the camera designation it say tessar 2.8/5.2 in N82 we saw 5.6 - as far as i know nokia designates camera focal length beside the aperture rating unlike which separates them with F and f values. so by this i cam assume that the phone becomes slimmer yet wider, taller and the camera sensor itself becomes smaller. can anyone contradict this?
