Don't need no code for that: it's written on the inside sticker, just under the battery.

It's a code that indicates the year and the week of manufacturing. For example, the code of my W200i is 07w20 (which means 20th week of year 2007).

You got it?

As far as i know you use up on the jogdial instead of right on the joystick and down on the jogdial instead of left on the joystick (may be the other way round though)

Edit: @tranced - beat me to it lol

i hared about sim clock can anyone know how i can enbled o disabled it
it is for sony ericsson k800

Posted by Nitro13
How can you type the - sign for the secret menu code? does it work for the W610i?

Posted by Cytech

@Nitro13

you press:

right * left left * left *

"->" = right
"<-" = left

@zolan

The sim clock is stopped/started automatically by the phone, it's nothing you can control. The stopping/starting procedures saves a bit of battery compared to having the sim clock enabled at all time

This has been discussed a zillion times already, and yes, I think there is a patch that you may apply so that it is possible to run the FM radio without using the handsfree. Another method is to short-circuit two contacts on the fastport, thus making the phone believe that the handsfree is connected, but in any case, you will not have much use of it, the reception will be very poor, since the handsfree cable serves as the antenna for the radio.

I made this discover!
I had an k800, may work on other phones to. anyways
press "3,6,9,#" at the same time, and you'll connect to browser.
press "2,5,8,0" at the same time, picture-view. last but not least,
press "1,5,7,*" at the same time, reach phone status.

How do you do this then? Confused

The Sony Ericsson Secret Menu screen: -> * <- <- * <- *

I don't suppose it occurred to you that removing the operator lock wouldn't be quite as simple as that?

all these hacks should be considered "try and your own risk, no responsibility taken"

I got something for the z310 (the phone that is not recognised by esato), if anyone has one then there is a way to show battery level, reception and provider on the external screen.

You need to have the flip slightly open just so that you can get your finger in and on the keypad but the phone must think that the flip is closed i.e. if you press the volume button up or down (left side of the phone), the time should come up on the external screen.

With your finger on the keypad but in flip closed mode, press:
- volume down
- volume up
- any key on the internal keypad

The external screen will show the alternative view.

It's not much of a code but you learn something new everyday. Shame nobody but me has a z310.

Actually, the **04*.... sequence is a shorcut for changing the PIN code, and it does not unlock an operator simlocked phone. The syntax, I think, is:

**04*<old PIN>*<new PIN>*<new PIN again>#

The nice thing with this is that it is universal and functions on all mobile phone brands, not only models, since it is a SIM card command and not a phone command.

So if the PIN code was 0000 from start, the sequence above does nothing, (or actually, changes the PIN code from 0000 to 0000). If it was not 0000 from start, it will cause the PIN code error counter to be incremented. If you try it three times, the SIM needs to be unlocked with the PUK code.

After so many sites, blogs and forums i've been through (joined, read and posted), I've collected and compiled Mobile Phone's Secrets, Tips & Tricks.

Others might have already seen these from other websites forums' posted and some of you guys are not, so I will share them to you all.

I put them all on a zipfile so you can download them in one package with their respective brand names their Secrets, Codes, Tips & Tricks on how to "Do-It-Yoursef" configuration and unbranding your mobile phone units, all in PDF format.

Some tricks are working on some units and some are not.

You can get it HERE. (Right-click and choose "Save Taget As")

If the link doesn't work, copy this and paste in address bar. http://ragmukhan.webs.com/images/Assorted_Mobile_Trix.zip
Once tthe zip file shows up, press Save in your PC.
