Just noticed that on my 8700g the Enterprise activation option has reappearred. Might Try and see if I can use it with the BES at work on monday. I doubt it will work as I am on BIS at the moment but it is worth a try.

Another quick question: Are Blackberrys from O2 unlocked as standard like most of their other handsets? I woud want to use an O2 BB on T-Mobile.

Posted by fatreg
no, o2 bbs are locked.

Posted by Marc_SE
I can vouch for the skin as I've used one on my Curve - top notch.

Waiting for Expansys to send me my charging cradle

Posted by thomas93
What si the cheapest option I can get and what services will it offer?

(I am on about contracts)

Posted by fatreg
^ O2... £10 a month I think.. 300mb data only.

Posted by thomas93
So how much would pinning use?

Posted by Berry
If you use more than 40-50 mb for everything i would be very surprised.

O2 unlimited is capped at 300mb but as a heavy user i have never topped 60mb

Posted by shelly58
well i've just bought the BB Pearl 8100 in pink and love it even though its taking some getting use to lol, i've never had one of these before and its the first time ive actually had to read the manual!! to know how to use it lol

You may have to remove your BIS setup first in order to get BES setup working - depending on IT Policy set by your Admin related to BIS allowance/dis-allowance. Don't worry they'll assist you all the way.

Heavy User Pfttt, thats child's play Tmag... I hit 300Mb in 10 days and set to go over that again soon, and no I am not using it as a modem.

I guess we can call me a Heavy Abuser

Is that with a Blackberry, or a regular handset though? Blackberrys compress the data very heavily, so you'll be really hard pushed to go over 200MB (it's 200, not 300 by the way).

Tried it today. Wiped the handset clean. Tried the activation but it would not work. Guess it is blocked by T-Mobile so you can only access BIS.
BTW. I am the BES admin, although I am new at it.

Yup it is a BB 8310 and I wasnt hard pressed at all to hit that much data.

Posted by Daedalus85

Salivation has a NEW image in my brain when I read all 3 parts and saw the 2 videos! MAN the OS is fast! About time a new cpu was used, and it seems more memory as well.

I'm considering an 8120 for now unless (fingers crossed) luck comes my way soon.

Anyone have experience with BES on Domino?

Very nice phone indeed, bit big though. Like the big screen clock feature to use as an alarm clock.

Hi all,

I must say that Video does indeed make the Bold look good as it seems nice and fast with a clear and bright screen and doesn't appear to be missing any features you could wish for. When it is released i will definitely be taking a closer look.

What I really want to know is (cos I'm rather sad...), whats the model number thats going to be assigned to this?

We've got:

8100/8110/8120/8130 Pearl

8300/8310/8320/8330 Curve

And the plain old 8800/8810/8820

So if this is the 'BOLD', whats it's model number? Or are they ditching that totally? I mean, it's not really revolutionary enough to warrant a standalone range without numbers, I mean yes they've increased the memory and screen quality, and the new OS, which I thought was going to be available on the other BB's soon anyway.

Posted by jcwhite_uk
The BOLD has the number 9000.

Posted by Supa_Fly

oh INDEED its official!
http://www.blackberry.com/

http://www.blackberry.com/select/blackberrybold/

sweetness never looked so good. NOW we can start saving towards a quality phone!

Although I wanted the W760i - I still may purchase that for sporting out & the gym - its all BB 9000 for me.

Posted by Daedalus85
Yeah but surely its got to be 9xxx so like 9100 or 9300 etc, 9000 is the series number, not the model number

Posted by fatreg
^ why can't it be the model number? they can then at a later date do a 9010 or so....

Posted by Daedalus85
Spose.....just they've never done that before, so it doesn't seem really quite as likely.

Posted by fatreg
but this is nothing like RIM have done before..
