I have modified 6.0 with 7.7 Final settings, new version number is v6.1:

http://www.rogepost.com/n/1643313319 <- v6.1 CID36
http://www.rogepost.com/n/5496980107 <- v6.1 CID36 with AE Lock

http://www.rogepost.com/n/9650094164 <- v6.1 CID49
http://www.rogepost.com/n/7851183328 <- v6.1 CID49 with AE Lock

In my opinion video recorded with v6.0 has better framerater in normal mode (~14fps) and looks much better in nightmode (but 6-7fps) Video recorded with 6.1 (7.7 Final settings) has lower framerate in normal mode (~11fps) and in night mode colors and brightness are not as good as in v6.0 so... i made 6.2 which has 7.7 Final quality settings and video recording settings from 6.0 hehe

http://www.rogepost.com/n/8796054875 <- v6.2 CID36
http://www.rogepost.com/n/1388691500 <- v6.2 CID49

PS. I've experimented with SPOT :/ here is 6.2 driver with spot default enabled in normal & night mode, you can disable it by enabling macro... yeah, i know, too many functions 'binded' to one button lol
http://www.rogepost.com/n/5805839527

PPS. Here is shrinked version of v6.2 CID36 (if you have problem with uploading 38kB file with FAR):
http://www.rogepost.com/n/9383923183 <- 24kB v6.2 CID36

Just one help, since i am a total noob, how do i use this settings?

EV -0.7 =Sharpening (1.0 -2.6)

i know, i get the camera open and use the arrows in horizontal to set to -0.7 my EV, what then?
what do the number between parenthesis (1.0 -2.6) mean?
does it mean some other settings that can be used to enhance shapness? thanks in advance!

I just edited the hex value for the framerate in nightmode in order to make it 15 fps for night (i put in 3C, going by the method of putting 4*framerate) and it seemed to work just fine, i had nice fluid video...

I don't think it will work. the Z550i only has 1.3 megapixel camera and no autofocus. This driver is for a 2megapixel camera with autofocus. the are just too different.

i am using main 8.53 cam driver ... from the first post

Posted by dennis.l
You can't turn off the supermode on 8.53. you can only do that on 8.52(it is off by default

I suggest you try the 6.1 from Kriomag. (it is about a page up.) It is a really good driver. It will give you the closest night mode pics to the full supermode driver without being complicated to use. and a normal day and macro modes.

this driver does not have the other supermode scenes such as document/sports/portrait etc. but I don't think it is really necessary. I remember when I used supermode before. the normal and enchanced night modes were the only ones I used.

All the buttons functions work normally. except when you have night mode and macro mode both on together (with flash light off). that will give you the enchanced night mode.

hmm, why do you want to use superdriver if you dont want to use supermode? :/

Try my modification of 8.53 - (8.51) - profiles are available only when macro is ON
or try my modification of 4.5 - (6.0 with 4.5 quality settings or 6.1 with 7.7 Final quality settings) - no profiles, when you enter camera its normal driver (with some tweaks like smoother preview, more fps recording movies, etc), day and night mode, and when in nightmode you enable macro, enhanced night mode is ON

Yes, by enabling macro you enable enhanced nightmode, there is no problem for shooting long distance objects (macro = full range scanning, from few centimeters to infinity)
And... there is no problem in shooting macros in nightmode (enhanced nightmode is automatic, it enables it self only in low light conditions chengrong is a genius ).

Thanks... I don't have much experience in using drivers with enhanced night mode function because so far I'm comfortable with 7.7final but I would like to try something new.

One last thing, is there any documentation out there about using this enhanced night mode function other than the first page of this thread? I would like to learn more about it.

It seems like no matter which driver I try, I get blurry pictures.. only macro mode looks good, everything else is not so great.. what do you guys think? I took these with 6.1 in great outside light..

bright light, sunny day with no clouds:

another shot in the same area, note the garages on the right are very blurry and lots of noise despite lots of light:

Windows tells me both of these are ISO-80 with exposure times of 1/5000 sec, if that helps? I'm just getting frustrated after stock drivers, 7.7, zuza, 9.0, and now 6.1 all giving me similar results like these.. thanks

kriomag thanks for your driver... is not possible have 5.3 driver in daylight and nightmode 8.53 for the night... imho 5.3 are best driver in daylight (in fact are the original sony)... thanks anyway

Yes, it is possible:
http://www.rogepost.com/n/2061636286 <- V6.0 based on v5.3 (instead of v4.5)
The 5.3 and 4.5 are almost identical drivers so it wasnt hard to base v6.0 on v5.3

i guess his phone is a w810. as you said before that w810 can do iso-80.

yes, its a W810i, sorry forgot to mention it i'm almost worried there's some sort of hardware fault in my phone? i just dont get whats wrong

Since you always get blurry pictures whatever driver you use, maybe the lens cover is dirty or scratched? or maybe your hand shakes too much? other than that, you probably have a hardware problem.

Posted by pram_zx

PS. I've experimented with SPOT :/ here is 6.2 driver with spot default enabled in normal & night mode, you can disable it by enabling macro... yeah, i know, too many functions 'binded' to one button lol

What is "SPOT" ? can you explain this?

i wish i could... my english is so limited

but i'll try:

its the way to measure light in picture, normally its done by avarage of entire image, with spot its done only by central part of image (square where you're focusing).

Example:

Without SPOT:

- Phone is way to dark because brightness is measured by avarage of entire picture.

With SPOT:

- Phone is visible because light is measured only by center of the picture (where phone is), the light from window is ignored

EDIT: Ofc same effect u can achieve, without spot, just by setting EV +1 or higher

ouch.. the lens seems to be just fine, but is there a proper way in cleaning it.. can i just take a lint-free cloth and gently wipe it in case there's any smudges or something? i guess my warranty is long gone after debranding and flashing so i hope its not a hardware fault

So wich driver is the "best"-"final" now (since there are a lot of v6.x drivers) ?

Posted by dennis.l
@Kriomag

thanks for the 6.1 driver. it is really good and the one I use as my main driver.

the only grip I have is with all the 7.7 based drivers the WB is off with LED light enabled. I think the maker of the original 7.7f must be testing it with the MXE-60 only. anyway, I think the colour is too blue when you use normal night mode with LED light.

Also what is the possibility of making the Zuza based 6.1? I love the speed of that driver and the file size.

v6.0 is based on original 4.5/5.3 + enhanced nightmode
v6.1 is based on 7.7 final + enhanced nightmode
v6.2 is based on 7.7 final + enhanced nightmode and video settins from v6.0 v6.0

Im using v6.2

you can find the zuza drivers at the bottom of this page.

http://clubw800i.googlepages.com/home33

but if it is too much trouble I will be really greateful if you can adjust the White Balance a little.

at the moment, LED with Night mode = too blue but LED with Enchance night is perfect

Hi.., I use your driver v6.2 based v7.7 Final.I like it.but I miss the night mode from v8.53,can you add this nightmode?(on chengrong camdriver scene 1.4, on mladen750 camdriver scene 1.5) + AE Lock with SPOT. It would be the powerfull camdriver (at least for me...hehehe...)

Posted by stingjoel
@Chengrong;

When will your super camdriver v8.54 released? I'm sure your camdriver will surprise us again...like your enhanced nightmode and nightscene

Posted by pram_zx
@all camdriver MASTER
can you make the focus to be manual focus, just like real camdig? just wonder....hihihi maybe chengrong v8.54 will have it

Posted by chengrong
The super camera driver will released 8.54.
This is upgrade version from v8.53.
Unlike previous versions upgrade bring exciting (8.51 to v8.52, v8.52 and v8.53),Relatively small changes in this version, Nevertheless, it is still adding some new features:

Speedup for EnhanceNight mode.
Speedup for daylight;

Add Spot support: picture fine mode for spot on ,normal mode for spot off.
JPEG levle is changed to 87 include fine & normal mode;

Add manual focus: macro on and night on, press zoom(+/-) key for focusing;
(1.0 Auto focus,1.1 focus to infinity, focus range 1.2-4.0)
Note:The manual focus is be remained when you turn off camera.

LED support: EnhancNight mode is supported LED now.

Some bugs fixed:
Bug01 : when switched to the video recorder from the 1.8 scene mode thecamera system restart.
bug02 : White Balance missed.
bug03 : After take a picture, the viewfinder is very dark. it is happend onmacro on.
bug04 : The normal mode sometimes over exposed.
bug05 : Brust snap sometimes exit.

Others is same as v8.53.
