Lowest ISO sensitivity settings, set the camera on a tripod, turn on the timer,and shoot until I get the lightning! smartphone will be difficult to succeed!

U has better processing at over 1000 iso...
this one is quite lame for the sensor's dimensions...

low ISO, low shutter speed(lighting will make enough light), use infinity fixed focus so you dont loost time on auto focus, and go contiuos shooting (when you press shutter it does 10+ images) nad be patient :)
