Today I got the new version 1.52 of MobiTrack PRO, and now it is
possible, to store maps in a subdirectory on the memory stick.

And one feature I asked for, is scrolling on a map, even without a
gps receiver connected. This works great in the new version.

Sounds great, is it possible to get the upgrade free or will I have to buy it again?

I got it for free, just write them and ask for it, if you're a registered
user, there should be no problem

JAWATECH accnounced a GPRS-free solution at http://www.jawatech.com.tw

The maps are stored in the jar file rendering communications with central server unnecessary. With bluetooth GPS paired it locates your positon, displays roads nearby and direction. You can view available regions and shop online at http://shopping.jawatech.com.tw

GPSWatch software is good enough, I bought their software when it was in beta...its serving my K750 and holux bluetooth gps receiver well. What I like the most is the time to speed index feature which comes handy for me being an auto enthusiast. I picked this bcos of its rich features...

Have anyone tried the newer versions of GPS Watch from http://www.i10n.com the features look interesting. They seem to have a new site with forums n all...

Hi Arez,

The nav4all you mentioned is for transmitting your location to server and to get recommendations....whereas GPSWatch is professional GPS s/w gives you location information, speed, acceltration, odo, average accelration, time to reach a particular speed (0-10, 0-20, 0-30.....)...It also lets u trace on existing maps or trace your own maps, capture waypoints, export them to Google Earth....Its different...

Moreover, GPRS service is charged on my network so its not viable to use nav4all as it uses GPRS network a lot...GPSWatch is a GPRS free solution, we can load and store maps, waypoint and trace point information from memory card or jar.

Atleast for my kind of use, GPSWatch stands out as the best option. I did a research on tons of available market before I chose one for me

Anyways lets see what others got to say about GPSWatch from http://www.i10n.com

Can Nav4all display co-ordinates in British Ordnance Survey (OS) Grid references?

I can't find a setting to change it.

Does any other GPS Software for the K750 display OS grid references?

Many thanks.

have you guys tried nav4all yet?

it doesnt require that you store any maps - BUT - this means that you have to use gprs to download the maps on the fly - ive been using it with my w810 and its works pretty well (aside from the fact that its still in beta and not all of the features are up and running)

i use it pretty much as a navigation device - you activate the app and it automatically finds you on a map - all you need to do is tell it where you want to go and it works just like a normal in-car gps device...

best part about it - its FREE!
