hi there
i was wondering if anyone could help me. i've just got a t630 and downloaded themes creator to my g4 ibook, which i was really pleased with. however, when i try to save my theme, it says 'this theme contains colors that are too similar. it can be saved, but the phone will not accept this theme as valid. Colors concerned: Prompt'.
when i first saved the theme, some of the text and background colours were very close and it came up with the same error, saying where they were e.g. popup background, and i went back and they had red crosses next to them so were easy to change. however i can't find 'prompt' anywhere to change them! does it actually exist?!!

also i was wondering about bluetooth compatibility, i can't seem to get files to transfer properly between my ibook with generic usb bluetooth adapter, do all bluetooth usb dongles work or do i need a special one (some people on ebay are selling t630 usb dongles, not sure if it's just to get it seen by more people?)

i really appreciate any help!
thanks a lot

I've had the error that you are describing, however, when I sent the theme to the phone it accepted it fine.

You could try one of the other Mac theme creators instead:

Links to Windows, Mac & Linux Theme Creators for SE Phones

Any Bluetooth adapter should work. There aren't ones specific to particulra phones. Try deleting the pairing from phone and Mac and try again...

hi there
thanks for your quick reply. i hadn't actually tried sending the theme to the phone and when i did it worked like you said- thanks a lot! i noticed you are working from a mac- the theme i created was imac flower power! i just upgraded to an ibook from my trusty flower power and used the flower power desktop that came with the imac for the t630, its hideously kitsch haha!
i also realised that the phone can't receive wav files and that was the file transfer that wouldn't work so the adapter is fine.
i don't suppose you know a good way to make ringtones do you? i've just been downloading midi files from limewire so far but there's not a very good selection. is there an easy way of making your favourite songs into midi files? i know you can't convert mp3 to midi but thought there might be a programme that writes the midi for you from an existing song?

wow i've rambled on, sorry!
your help is much appreciated, thanks a lot!

I don't know of an easy way to make MIDI ringtones yourself but there are 100's of web-sites offering MIDI files. Limewire probably isn't your best source. Just do a Google search for "free midi download" and you'll find lots.
