Orange GPRS is always slow!

If you're on an Orange contract, they'll swap the phone over within 6 months, but beware - it will be a refurbished handset. It will most probably come with the latest firmware though, and this is part of Orange's refurbishment process.

I've never heard of R2AL, but it will be newer than R2AC. Where did you hear about this version? I was under the impression that the latest is R2AG.

Hope this helps.

R2AC is newer than R2L, but it's not the newest. R2AE is the newest and is significantly better. It should solve the problems you're experiencing. You can take your handset to a Sony Ericsson service centre, who will update the firmware free of charge under warranty.
