I had my firmware updated to R2AE033 couple of months back which was the latest then(maybe still is)

But I don't wanna go to the service stations again to ugrade.
So I was planning to buy a DSS-25, but I don't want to buy one if there are no new updates currently available ( No point in buying something and then not being able to use it ASAP, right? )

So I would like to know if there any way to know what version of firmware/software is currently available?

thanks

wecome to Esato

we have a good thread about firmware versions for K700

K700 / K500 Firmware overview

there is a later firmware than R2AE but its not yet available on the online update service

also take a look at the Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style) where you can find alot of useful info including a link to the thread I just gave
