I'm on R2AE033 for a couple of weeks now, always wanted to touch on a few insisting, yet irritating issues compared to R2L and the phone as a device in general, but never really had the chance to due to lack of time...

Right...so what's up with the infamous call list time sorting register? It seems they never got it right and no, the latest version doesn't improve on the existing situation (at least in my case, EU1C). It's a chaos, answered, dialed, missed, one crossing the time paths of the other...why is it so difficult to get it right? I remember about 6 years ago, my S868 as well as more recently the T68i never had any problems with it, which gives? I've tried resetting the phone quite a few times...Master reset also didn't cut it. I wonder if I'd have to send it off for service once again. Is it just I experiencing the sorting call listing bug here?
Next up is the infamous memory-reference bug. This is not a widespread case, it only applies to specific contacts from what I've gathered so far and it might also have something to do with the position of the contact in the memory slots of the phone. What happens is during an incoming call the phone doesn't recognize the number in order to associate it with the contact, it only displays the number in the international format instead. Changing the contact's registered number from the international format to local i.e. 07714xxxxxx remedies the problem. Sad but true.
One more thing relates more to the feature set rather than being a bug itself. It's the inability of the phone to send calendar events of a whole month via Bluetooth. Again my old T68i saved my workload again and again by being able to send whole month events via Bluetooth, yet it's absent in K700?!? Wth?
/RANT BEGINS/Now you don't want to get me started about the construction and durability of the phone in general..moaning you might say, but hey, what can I say about a phone that squeaks and feels like an empty box?/RANT ENDS/

My Quickshare sticker fell off, the online sticker peeled off, the rubber cover at the bottom is now loose, the back cover squeaks. And then there's the infamous contacts bug wherein two adjoining names sometimes show the same number. Yes, these are signs that SE rushed the K700i in some aspects.

SE surely knew about these defects but didn't care to correct them in later units off their production line. Probably to make the Clara seem that much better??? As we know, the Clara doesn't have a rubber bottom cover, and doesn't have an Online sticker (the Online button is pretty much useless in any case). I hope its Quickshare holds this time.

/delurk

Yep, all that happened to mine too, not too bothered about the stickers but the squeaking was annoying.
Got rid of it by putting a couple of very thin slivers of rolled up paper in the slots on either side of the phone where the back cover fits. Now feels rock solid.

I don't seem to have all that problem. Weired. Maybe should complain directly to them from the SE Website. They always reply my mail fast.

I've had enough. Going to get the firmware installed once again...In the process of writing yesterday's post I forgot to point out another major issue...The multi-character search feature of the phonebook causes my handset to reboot everytime I search using the joystick to progress to the second letter that belongs to the same numerical key (pressing it down, like when composing an sms to progress to the second letter).

And oh yeah...my Quickshare sticker fell off too...It's just been quite some time since that happened, that I forgot to mention it

Same goes for the rubber cover. They should advice towards not charging the handset too much, or using a freehand set too much in order to avoid this :-I

I got my K700i three months ago and I hate to find that: the battery is too bad to be alive more than a day, terrible and buggy contacts,fallen-off Quickshare,my battery cover is squeaky due to the missing four rubbers-I change simcard many times-,my charger sometimes doesn't work. Yet, I still love mine soo..o much..it's the best phone I've ever had. The screen is marvelous, the memory is more than enough. Yes,I love it so much.

Had mine 4 months. Not one problem like that. Battery lasts between 2 & 6 Days, depending how much I'm messing around.

Yep same here. I've not seen a better screen on a phone its size.

@rtorres - Better sell your K7 mate and rather make an upgrade to an S700i pal . . . though quite expensive, to get rid of your problemo, once and for all ! [addsig]
