Hi this is my first thread in Esato?Well i am looking forward to SE to develop a SYMBIAN OPERATING SYSTEM for the FANTASTIC K700i Phone. My appeal is that, let all of the K700i users appeal SE to do so |

Hi! Welcome to Esato! :-D Symbian OS for the K700? That seems unlikely. I'm lookin forward to a non uiq smart phone from SE though!

Non-touchscreen smartphone maybe, but I doubt they will make a non UIQ smartphone. |

A smartphone placed below the P900/910 is what i'm hoping for.

Yeah, I can see that there might be a niche for a phone with a smaller screen and button navigation instead of touchscreen, but with a 'true' OS of some kind. I guess SE feel that anyone who wants full smartphone capabilities would be prepared to mortgage their grandma and shell out for a P series phone, though
Mind you, a smaller phone with some of the P series capabilities would be great though. The P910 is awsome but it is a bit of a brick and it eats batteries for breakfast

I was just now thinking it would be nice to have a smaller smartphone, perhaps some kind of 'mini-smartphone', a smaller, cheaper Symbian-type OS driven, and about the size of a K700. Something with a K7-style joystick rather than a touchscreen - a smaller version of the Nokia 7650 maybe?

@sammy, such phones do exist. Albeit, made by Nokia! Gotta say S60 is a powerful platform!

In fact, I've just bought a secondhand N-gage, a nice, cheap £40 Series 60 Symbian platform! Not very compact, though, and I'll experience for the first time that bizarre 'side talking' that you have to do with an N-Gage!
