cpw unbranding trick - orange branded p910i |

hi i got a p910i yesterday - has been unlocked but is still branded to orange
so i thought id try the trick of getting it flashed at cpw
i rang up the aintree store, and asked and they said they could do it, but because it had been unlocked, by doing a generic flash would lock the phone back to orange, and that i would have to get it unlocked after having it flashed
so if it gets flashed and then unlocked again does that mean that everything orange will be gone
i dont want to risk this and then having to pay £20 to get it unlocked
has anyone had there orange p910i unbranded before, did it work
thanks |

I asked about getting my new flashed after the third replacement. CPW said they would do it but it would invalidate the warranty....and as its the thrid I've had I will be waiting till the warranty runs out. As for the locking, sorry no idea! |

I can't see why flashing the phone would relock it. |

@Krisuk
Correct. It does not.
Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES
