Hi all, im new to posting on here, but have been browsing for a while.
I owned a T630 up until last night when I got a K700i.
Been after one for ages and well pleased with it so far, except for one thing.......
I can only hold 3 messages in the Inbox, and 3 in Sent items.
It keeps saying, sim memory is full please delete some messages.
But still the same, even though the phone has 10mb spare.
Some people have said a firmware update will sort this, but im not sure.
My firmware is RL2001.
So not sure what to do, i cant handle only having 6 messages max.
Can anyone help on this
many, many thanks

If you read your post carefully, the phone tells you that the SIM card is full. Delete some of your messages from your SIM, this should solve your problem.
I am not too sure if you can store texts on your phone memory directly.
Hope this makes sense.

Yeah, a firmware update will solve it. R2ae is the latest, so you might want to catch hold of that.

There may be a choice of sim or phone to store the texts. Phone will hold total of 100, and it's separated from the main memory. |

But a 32k sim can easily store 30 odd messages. How come it can store only 3?

ok, update.
Got a Dss-25 and updated the firmware to R2AE033 and no change.
Had a further browse and some people have said it could be due to having an old 02 sim (mine was the original genie sim). So I got a another sim and transfered my number and credit over. again, still will only hold 6 messages.
So im guessing its the phone itself like the memory has gone or something.
I got the phone from a mate (I swapped my T630 and £40 for the K700i) and he is only 5 months into his contract.
Can he send it back and say its faulty or something?
many thanks

why don't you try it with another SIM card first just to be sure that your SIM is OK.
resistance is futile. |
