Hi all
I bought the k700i when it first came out so I think I've got the original firmware. I want to upgrade the firmware and am thinking of buying a datacable to do this - any advice which one to buy?
Also what are the differences between the new firmware and the old one? I have heard the new version stops the ability to add animations to a text message. What are the pro's and con's of upgrading to the latest version?
Is it best to 'flash' my phone or should I send it to a service centre (I don't really want to do this cos they take ages).
I'm on contract with O2.
Cheers

last thing I heard was that you still can't do the online update for O2 phones so your alternative self flash is one of the 3rd party services like davinci etc. plenty of threads on updating K700 using those so just check around
for firmware differences, the best thread is the K700 / K500 Firmware overview. look at the first post there

Err..... I think some of the o2 guys were successful in updating online. (Not sure.) Joebmc, blokey2... You will need dss20 or 25 for that.
