can the update through seus be done with a normal data cable or does it have to have the sync station? Any ideas on the matter?

It will only work with the DSS-25 I'm afraid. You can pick them up on eBay for a reasonable price, that's what I did, although I am very against using the SEUS because of its bugs!

SEUS works with sync stations DSS-20 or DSS-25 only.

@sitek:
What does the word 'only' mean?
Read carefully mtt_ca's reply above.

Why are you so angry?? I just don't know what the difference is between DSS-2x and CSS-2x (except built-in microphone and speaker).

@sitek:

If you want to know the difference, ask for the difference, instead of asking whether it could be used with SEUS.

I think the main difference is that you cant use seus to update firmware with the CSS-20/CSS-25.
I cant even use the DSS-25 to update my firmware, all I get is comunications error lol.
phone shop wants to charge me £23 to update the software in my phone? ..mad, f* dat

DSS-25: Synchronisation, charger (thru ext. adapter), SEUS support
CSS-25: Synchronisation, charger (thru ext. adapter), microphone and speaker, can use the phone's battery
