I am trying to update my K700i using a dss 25 satation. I have d/l the latest client and the patch for the station. I have also d/l the latest firmare (hope EU2 is the right one for the UK!). Everytime i start the flash process the software loses connection after approx 2 mins. I have tried an XP machine and Win 98 machine but both give the same results. My phone is now dead! I can recover it using the software but then encounter the same connection problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately I cannot help you but when you get this sorted, I would be interested if you can check a couple of things.

1) Can you post up your new software info. Mine is as follows:

R2AE033
prgCXC125821_EU_1_C

LCD SW Versions
Main Display
Current: 200406041

Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 3.10

IPT SW version
CXC 125 813 R1T

Customization
CDA102286/ 17 R2A cxc 125822 R2AE033 EU_2

2) Can you check your SOS numbers and confirm if 999 is included.
3) Can you check the new contact entry and confirm if the address states UK (County/Postcode) or US (State/Zip Code).
4) What were the files you downloaded for the upgrade.

Kind Regards

Si

I have now tried on my laptop and still the same problem. I managed 98% before losing the connection. Surely someone must have similar problem.

Any ideas?

Try contacting an esato member called Vee as he is a bit of an expert on davinci. If he can't help then contact davinci.

Leave him, the poor guy cannot even on his phone. I think the pack is EU-5. (Entirely unsure.)

What have you tried flashing? You will need to flash both a matching Main File and File System file. I have been told that EMEA1 is the correct file although so many UK K700i owners have different files installed it is a nightmare. My UK phone has EU_2 although this does not contain the 999 SOS number....bloody SE making everything so difficult.

Mmm ok so it is not the same file as the one installed by SEUS. Is your phone completely SIM/Operator customisation free? The main differences is the final bits:

IPT SW version
CXC 125 813 R1T

Customization
CDA102286/ 17 R2A cxc 125822 R2AE033 EU_2

I wonder why your customization file does not confirm R2AE033...mmm strange. Oh well at least you got it working...result !!!

smjohns, Yep it's completely sim free. I have a feeling that my problems were due to a dodgy battery. I recharged it using my wife's phone and it worked first time.

Thx for your assistance. Cheers!

Yeah cheers FB. I think I may try a complete re-boot this weekend and see if 999 does appear and I can get SEUS working again. If not I will go for a reflash using davinci.

Can you confirm something with davinci. I assume you used the latest client 12.2. Could you get the Read CID to work? I tried it on mine last night and all my PC did was beep and ask me to turn the phone on. I did this (whilst it was on the DSS-25) but the software did not read it. I know my DSS-25 is installed correctly as SEUS can see it and so can davinci as the comm port drop down list has Comm1, 2 and DSS3.
