hi all!!!

i dawnloaded teh dss-20 drivers from the sonyericsson web page but when i tried to intall them, my system doesen't recognize the *.inf file and donsen't precced with the installation. really need some help.

presumably you unzipped them but when you plugged the DSS into the USB port did you choose to manually specifiy where the drivers where or did you let it try and find them automatically?

I did this on a new pc at the weekend and by specifying manually it worked first time no problems. that was on windows XP PRO SP2 btw

i connected the usb and win detected it then i've tried it both ways and the *inf file wasen't recognized.

hmmm... well I see you edited your first post an now mention this is on win98se.

I've had a look at the files in the subfolder called 98_ME and they certainly look ok but its been a long time since I used windows 98 so not sure I can help much more than that

already solve the problem, i was trying with the wrong drivers. the cable wasn't dss-20 but dcu-11, it only looked like dss-20.
