You updated your R2L & R2AE all from SEUS?

It's my second time to update in SEUS also. I've updated from R2A041 to R2L001 and now to R2AE033 without a problem. I'm also in EU1, and with the multi-search feature in my address book.

I have an unbraded GSM and the SEUS service keeps on coming up with a message saying my carrier does not allow the use of this service. I am in Dubia, UAE on Etisalat. Will it make a difference if I put an Orange UK chip in the phone? Last thing I want to to get Orange branded software on my phone? Any thoughts? |

Nope, your phone cant be updated via seus. Take it to service centre.

I updated my phone successfully with no errors to R2L back in around oct 04, however when I tried to get R2AE a few days ago it crapped out around 90% saying 'communication error' Luckily my phone still makes and receives calls but is only half on R2AE, camera doesn't work etc. Now the SEUS says my carrier doesn't allow me to use the service. The phone was supplied by O2 UK but is unbranded and unlocked anyway. |

Now that you have upgraded via SEUS it will not let you use it again. This is a major flaw of the update service. Your only solution is to take it to a service centre or flash it yourself!
Why people continue to use SEUS amazes me! |

Because it takes the pain out of going out and finding a se service center, spending money on travel, waiting about...etc.

Yeah I got a T28 cable on order, gonna try flashing it using SETool. I don't have any local service centres and don't want to send it away-just hope I can get it fully sorted out. |

i will ontinue to use seus until i'm faced with a real problem. the only problems i've encontered so far was during the update to R2L the flash download aborted. maybe an isp problem. i removed the phone from the syncstation, placed it again, restarted the process and everything went fine. and i don't know why but i don't have shutter sound when i'm in silent mode and i never used any remote unlock/flash server of any kind. |
