Hi,

I've just flashed my phone yesterday via SE OnlineUpadate from R2L001 to R2AE033, everything is ok and all previous bugs are fixed except startup and shutdown screens new problem! when I turn on my phone the default animated startup crashes and when I turn it off the shutdown screen (SE Logo) crashes too! (The pictures not showed completely & correctly)

Also the animated "Sony Ericsson.gif" in pictures folder is corrupt! I reupdated the phone but nothing has changed.

Is this bug or ... ?! Any idea ?!
My phone is unbranded and has EMEA_6.

hmmm, havent heard anyone else mention this. Was your battery fully charged?

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

Yes, that was fully charged. I did master reset before update but not try after that! Is it necessary?

I had exactly the same problem after 'upgrading' my phone from R2L001 to R2L001 using SEUS. I have tried various ways to delete the corrupted Sony Ericsson.gif but failed. I have also tried to erectify the corrupted boot and shut down screen but also failed. Recently, I upgraded my phone to R2AE033 using SEUS and the previous corruptions are still corruptions. It seems the only way to solve all these problems is a reflash at a service centre. BTW, SEUS recovery won't work, master reset won't work and even master reset with the 13 sec. trick won't work...

I've done it right now but it hanged during reset! I waited for about 20 minutes but nothing happened! so I turned it off and now everytime I turn it on, it resumes reseting and again hangs!!!! I tried to use recovery mode on SEUS but when it reaches 100% it says:"Error in communication with the device" !!!
Now I really don't know what should I do!! my phone is absolutely unusable!

@Solarix

Use one of the servers to fix your phone, only one credit needed, not that expensive. I recommend Setool but as you have dss for davinci use that. Much easier than taking it to a service centre.

ITP SW version

@Solarix

Your phone has suffered from corrupted/damaged firmware when the Sony Ericsson Update Service was used. Please read this post by me from a few months back (obviously Sony Ersicsson has not fix the problem with their Update Service): http://www.esato.com/board/vi[....]opic=72651&start=15#post972152

I'm beginning to think that Sony Ericsson actually is stupid enough not to understand that there is a problem with their service that actually damages the firmware on the K700i.
