I have been using the Martin Field screen protector for two weeks now and I am pretty satisfied with it. Goes on smooth, can be washed. Screen colors have the same brightness as without. Only drawback. Needs a slightly firmer tap with the stylus.

if you tap at the centre of the screen you need to tap a little harder

if you tap near the edges it is same as before

further if you use it outdoors on a sunny day the display is blurring

i think the brando ultra clear recommends drying with a hair dryer. i found it's fine - once dry, dust off and then apply.

Brando seems great - i used some noname from pda addons on ebay, which does the job, but does blue a little. however, they're 12 for 5 gbp. brando is expensive, but probably worth it for getting full clarity out of the phone. and i've heard they last longer.

I prefer the Brando matt finished screen protector over the clear ones, gives a better feel of writing, IMO.

Anyone know if someone sells the Brando or SymMobile protector in the USA? I'm trying to get a protector sooner than 7-10 days shipping from overseas.

Any suggestions for protecting my P910i due Thursday?

Thanks,

My experience first hand:
Just applied my SymMobile screen protector.
It was not very difficult, although I had some difficulty separating it from the protecction it was in, and the result was that the screen protector in the end was not a straight as it should have been.
I cleaned the screen with one of those air-brushes used with cameras to clean the lens and all dust was removed in a few seconds.
Somehow I got a fingerprint and dust in the protector. I just went to the toilet and washed with plain water, without using my hands (just water). I dried the last few drops with a paper towel, and after a few seconds using the tip of a knife to gently remove a couple of dust spots that were still glued to the under-side, I applied the protector without much effort.
Maybe because the protector was still a bit wet, it glued instantly. No air bubles, no nothing. Finally I applied some pressure and managed to glue all the protector without a single spot of dust or air.
Beautiful!!
PS: Sorry the English.

Hi All,

I just have on SE P900, and I use the new Exim ultra clear, I think it's better of the new brando clear.

I have paid it for 12.5USD with the shipping to Montreal.

if you want:

Martin Field is an excellent screen protector. Have used it with my P900 and now my P910i( for almost 2months). It's one of the better screen protectors! The colors remain vivid, but I have to agree, it can require a firmer touch at times. The first install can be challenging, especially since the instructions are so abbreviated. But if done properly, you almost forget the protectors are there! Honest!

The same problem (of the firmer touch) exists with by SymMobile protector, but overall I love it.
I specially like the *not* shinny finnish that blurs up the reflections.
On my old Palm V I could shave on the screen refrection!
About collors and sharpeness of image, I can't tell the difference with the original, so I guess it's OK with me.

Hello mates,
I'm just wondering about the effect on the writing recognition of the P910, did the screen protectors affect recognition, will it need more pressure to write on it without damaging the screen, this is one aspect we should also consider in buying one and I'm still looking for reviews on it. Ihope you guys could help, tnx.

If the protector is thick, it protects better. On the other hand you do need to press a bit harder like if you were writing with a real pen. It's a tradeoff, you can not have both.
Recognition is not affected with the protector, unless (of course) you do not press at all while writing.
