@ 02
I guess the reason that he was so quite was either some kind of secrecy agreement with Vodafon or it might have been because he was shooping with someone that could very well have been his girlfriend. I guess it is pretty understandable. When I said I noticed his phone he acually said like "Oops, that wasn't good". So you get how talkative he was...
Anyway from the very little I saw of the V800, it looked nice. I pretty much only saw in while he was holding it to his cheek speaking in it and also then, just from a distance (naturally). It did not look very small when it was open, but that is the case with all flip phones. I could also glimpse it for a second just when he put it in his pocket, and well, it looked nice and not as large anymore.

I hope it will be out soon. I've already read the user manual from cover to cover... Please call, Vodafone!

Nokia 6630 built-in cam seems very good and this will be a very good sale argument for this extemely ugly and also big handset. Its camera is something which shouldn't be overlooked because I'm pretty sure that one will be better than V800's cam, unfortunately.

Nokia 6630 is 8mm taller, 10mm wider and only 3 mm slimmer than V800. No thanks to a floorboard look a like handset with odd key arrangement.

Just read in the "Vodafone 3G Launch Date - 10th November!"-thread that Vodafone's new 3G handsets will be launvhed next week in UK. I really hope that goes for Sweden too! It does not sound unlikely!

And, McKinley, I suppose that was not meant for the V800... 'Cause SE ownz Nokia toootally! And why should Nokia have a better camera?

V800, come to me!!!

You will later see how good shots 6630 actually is able to take.
I have seen shots taken with both V800 and 6630. V800 is simply lagging behind here if I have to judge those shots I saw for some weeks ago. Look at 6630 back and you will see they are actually using pretty sophisticated lens in this extremely ugly handset. This time no one can blame Bokia for using crappy built-in camera.
When it comes to other features, 6630 is also very good but still it looks so freakin' ugly.

not sure what your point is though? phones are not all about looks nor are they all about a camera. They are an all-in package and everybody gets the one they prefer.

Where did this comparison come from anyway?

There must be 12 3G phones ready for release..... why pick this one out of the blue for comparing?

Vlammetje,
Axe did mention V800 is big and I was thinking of a real big one. 6630 is a real basher. Regarding the rest of 3G handsets shipping. SHARP does only have a good camera and good display but the rest is just crap. UI is bad as usual when it comes to Sharp and it doens't even look half as good as V800 either. Samsung Z107/Z110 is not a good looking either and lacks in some other very important things like BT and expandable memory.

6630??!! That phone!! All i can say.. its one big momma's phone... its so wide... n I'll bet it uses the same OS as every other nokia phones... with JUZ a 3G capability... like i said nokia produces same phones with different designs.. tats it.. yes i mus say 6630 camera look very promising... but still.. aint enough to compare it wth V800... coz V800 is a whole different story.. animated themes, 6leds flash lights, dual colour screen, and above all its a flip phone.. cant really compare it with 6630.. n frm my point of view.. V800 is much more advance than 6630.. tats wat i think..

As 02 and Vlammetje has already pointed out I do not think the 6630 will be as good as the V800. Sure the Nokia fans will probably like it but, in my opinion, Nokia has fallen behind. And, by the way, have they made video calling with filming yourself available yet. That was just soo stupid with the othe Nokia 3G phoes...

Good night my fellow "Esatos" and may the dreams of the V800 be with you

cool

Lynn the external display can be themed to a degree... however I have yet to find out if an image can be attached to it.

Still a lot of work to do

It is just like 02 said! I checked a couple of countrys and all of them have removed the "Coming soon". That has to be a good sign! Does anyone know how long before the actual release that sign has been removed on earlier phones? That might give us an indication...
