I have that problem with unrecognised names from the Phone book. When some one calls me the phone does not display the name even though the number and name is in the phone book0 This also happens with missed calls.
Should i upgrade ?
Also, with the upgrade do you lose the mms messages/pictures etc the phones came with when puchased from new, and also your personalised settings?
Thanks

It doesn't seem like they have managed to fix the "adding new word to the dictionary" bug in T9. I upgraded to R2E006 today, and the phone still claims to add new word, but it doesn't stick.

Hi,
I have a T68 upgraded to T68i (R2B 025).
Can I upgrade to R2E006 ?

Sorry, not possible. The phone is recognised as a T68m,and therefor u have the newest sw for this model.

I don't think this is true...Both phones have the same hardware. It should be possible to upgrade a T68m with R2E006 |

you can't just update T68m with the T68i software (you can't even choose it when updating the phone).. you need the T68m MMS software to update a T68m... the phones are identified with the IMEI number... when Killerturtle wrote his question the T68m MMS software was still R2B025, but later the same day released the R2E version for T68m as well...

Let's see if I got Cytech right...
My T68m is still with R1B. If I take it to a SC, they will first upgrade it to R2B025 (the MMS upgrade), and then upgrade to R2E006. Right? |

you can update it to R2E006 from the beginning... hmmm.... how should I explain this when updating a T68m to R2E006 you use a software called T68m MMS which contains conversion for the filesystem, when updating a T68i you use the T68i software... |

Well according to SonyEricsson when you update your t68m to and t68i you no longer use the t68m software cause you have a the t68i features etc. So I was told by Ericsson and service centres cause i got mine updated and they used the t68i software cause i saw it with my own eyes. Once you have your phone updated to an "i" you use the "i" software from now on. Thats why there no point in rushing out to pay heaps more for the t68i. I got my phone back lights changed so now i have blue black light for the keypad and still using the normal grey cover. It looks sick..... |

I have said it before, and I'll say it again when updating a T68m (which is upgraded with the MMS software) you still can't choose the T68i software (only the T68m MMS software), not yet anyway, this can only be reality once change the tac numbers (a part of the IMEI number that is used to identify which phone model it is) for the T68i software. |

Hi.
I just had my phone upgraded to R2E and I have found one bugfix.
When I was using R2B my phone always freaked out when I recieved a call from someone calling from a number ending with two or three Zeros. My phone flipped, played the ringtone endlessly, vibrated like crazy and the buttons did not respond. I tesed my phone with the new SW and it does not seem to have this problem. |
