Yes, it's true. I have one. You can change the case too, but it's cooler to have a T630 in a T610's case. :-)

Well, you're only changing FW, not hardware, so the camera is the same. The best thing is the thing that you do change is the screen, which you can now see in the sun, but it'll also use more power.

i don't think i'd be able to get used to using my phone in the sun, i have to treat it like it is some sort of vampire. Is the screen very hard to change?

Someone in the forum was saying that you have to adjust the contrast levels before attaching the new screen. Why is this ? Cant you adjust the contrast in the T630? |

Ah, this is true, as there is no contrast adjustment with the T630 FirmWare.

What is the difference between the T610 and T630 firmware? I'm just curious.

i think that the only difference between them are just that the t630 has the "my Friends" instead of the "My Shortcuts" and that the camera has an internal software that makes the pic bigger(640pixels i think).....give a search u might find something else...probably....

To be honest, I think the only reason I'd want a T630 is to get the better screen - I've used one and to be honest I prefer my T610 for looks, and the software really isn't that different. |

So you mean, I'd have to actually physically install a new screen to the T610 in order to update the firmware to a T630?
Would I be able to do so without a new screen and just have inferior graphics? |

the problem is t610 has stn screen and 630 has a tft screen,so both have different drivers actually |

Dude, you will get the T630 LCD screen Here it will cost you 54£ all inc. Personally, I would rather invest 120£ on a k500i. But still, its your choice. Hope I helped.

@Merovingian: Hmmm....$38, seems quite reasonable. Is this a brand new, or used screen? Can you post some link?
Thank you.
