I don't think I have ever seen release notes for firmware versions. Best to hang around here as this thread develops as people notice changes.

Thats how we usually find out whats new!

might sound dumb and totally off the track here

but i remember reading several people talking about improving the quality of the camera in the upcoming firmware?

i said was not possible as there are no hardware upgrade = no improvement in camera ...

so.. for those who have the R3B alraedy.. can you tell a difference with your photos?
one day i will come up with something funny and witty and related to sex, until then it will be this

I have noticed a few new things in R3B so far:

1. When sending an SMS/MMS there is an extra option called "Contacts" that takes you directly to the search window for Contacts.

2. R1L had a problem with incoming phonecalls, if the phone number eneded with 00 or 000. I'm waiting for a phonecall from such number to verify if there have been any imporvements there.

bugger! I have to wait until Saturday as the guy at the local SE service centre here in Frankfurt is a miserable git and wants to charge me €30 for upgrades and I won't give him the pleasure of taking my money.

Its good to know that message alert tones can be now customized.
What about the volume keys next to the camera button ? Do they always indicate volume ( as i thought they should have!! ) or is that still the same ?

One important thing, can you check and see if bluetooth on T610 with R3b has improved the quality and connection with BT headset? Cos with R1L, there still a bit crackling and very often T610 doesn't pick up receive calls..........really hope this firmware does solved this issue. Thanks !

@deceased:
I upgraded the phone yesterday. Took 30 minutes. I took it to a service center though, not to the store. I've actually upgraded the phone 5-6 times there, never took more then an hour. Never paid either
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.
